Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Germans who are currently playing abroad.

Romy Baer
Romy Baer
#1. This week's number one is an international forward Romy Baer (187-87, currently plays in France), who plays in the French LFB. She could not help Lyon (12-9) in their last game. Despite Baer's very good performance Lyon lost 61-66 on the road to the leading Lattes Montpellier. She was the top scorer with 20 points. Baer also added 5 rebounds and dished 6 assists in 36 minutes on the court. This year Baer averages: 7.4ppg, 3.7rpg, 2.1apg, 1.9spg, 2FGP: 36.2%, 3FGP: 30.2% and FT: 85.7% in the 21 games she played so far. She is currently a member of the German senior national team.

Lea Mersch
Lea Mersch
#2. Second place goes to former international guard Lea Mersch (170-87, currently plays in Czech Republic). Mersch was the major contributor in a DSK Karlin's victory against the fourth-ranked BK Pliska Studanka (2-22) 64-54 in the Czech Republic ZBL last Sunday. She scored 14 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and dished 3 assists. DSK Basketball Karlin (6-18) is placed third in A3 group. There are only four games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game will be critical. It's Mersch's first season with the team. Mersch's overall stats this year are: 6.2ppg, 3.5rpg, 1.4apg, 2FGP: 36.8% and FT: 62.7%. She played for the German national team in 2011.

Petra Glaser
Petra Glaser
#3. The German player who performed third best last week abroad was former international power forward Petra Glaser (196-81, college: Long Beach St., currently plays in Sweden). Glaser contributed to Kvarnby's victory against the fourth-ranked Visby Ladies (1-4) 81-69 in the Swedish Damligan on Wednesday night. She scored 8 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 6 assists in 32 minutes. Kvarnby BBK (3-2) is placed second in Group 2. They ended the series of five consecutive loses. Glaser's team will play only one more game in the Second Stage. And now that game is very crucial. Glaser has relatively good stats this year: 12.6ppg, 5.5rpg, 1.9apg, 2FGP: 48.3%, 3FGP: 7.1% and FT: 82.1% in the 24 games. She played for the German national team two years ago.

Nadine Grieb
Nadine Grieb
#4. Center Nadine Grieb (184-87, currently plays in Luxembourg) led AB Contern to an easy victory against the leader Sparta (17-5) crushing them 94-37 in the Luxembourg Diekirch League in Saturday night's game. Grieb recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 12 rebounds. She also added 5 assists and 3 steals. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group Places 1-6. AB Contern (13-6) is placed third. Grieb is currently ninth on the list of top scorers. She has individually a very good season with high stats. Grieb averages: 17.7ppg, 8.9rpg, 2.7apg and 1.7spg. She used to play for the German U20 national team back in 2007.

The list of other players, who all have German passport but never been selected to any of German national teams:

#1. Eva Schonecker (180-G/F-81, currently plays in Luxembourg) led AB Contern to an easy victory against the leader Sparta (17-5) crushing them 94-37 in the Luxembourg Diekirch League last Saturday. Schonecker scored 15 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 20 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group Places 1-6. AB Contern (13-6) is placed third. This year Schonecker's overall stats are: 2.4ppg, 2.3rpg and 1.1apg in the 16 games she played so far.

#2. Melina Muller (175-F-81, currently plays in Hungary), who plays in the Hungarian A Division could not help MBK Eurl.Vasas (1-16) to beat Cegledi EKK (8-9). She did not beat the league record on Saturday evening. Muller scored only 1 points. The sixth-placed MBK Eurl.Vasas was crushed 70-41 at home by the higher-ranked Cegledi EKK (#4) in the Places 9-14 group. It was MBK Eurl.Vasas' 11th consecutive loss in a row.
