The Regular Season in A1 is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 3 rounds. Coincidentally all hosts won their games.

Seventh-ranked Apollon Patras (10-13) made lots of trouble for third ranked Panionios (18-5) in Athens on Saturday. Panionios managed to secure only two-point victory 80-78. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 80-78. Panionios made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. 26 personal fouls committed by Apollon Patras helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Nikos Pappas (195-90, agency: FCM) who scored 33 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. Naturalized Serbian forward Vladimir Jankovic (202-90, agency: FCM) chipped in 11 points and 6 rebounds. American Keaton Grant (193-86, college: Purdue) produced 12 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the guests. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Panionios maintains third place with 18-5 record having just two points less than leader Olympiacos. Newly promoted Apollon Patras keeps the seventh position with 13 games lost. They share it with Aris. Panionios are looking forward to face PAOK (#4) in Thessaloniki in the next round. Apollon Patras will play at home against the league's second-placed Panathinaikos in Athens and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
Sixth-ranked Ikaros (11-12) made lots of trouble for fifth ranked AGOR (15-8) in Rethymno. AGOR managed to secure only two-point victory 68-66. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Ikaros. American forward Brent Petway (204-85, college: Michigan) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points and 8 rebounds. Marc Antonio Carter contributed with 16 points for the winners. Senegalese forward Mouhammad Faye (208-85, college: SMU) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for Ikaros.
