There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in Eredivisie.

The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of top-ranked Binnenland (13-5) in Rotterdam on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by fourth ranked Lekdetec.nl (8-10) 94-91. They made 29-of-36 free shots (80.6 percent) during the game. Lekdetec.nl outrebounded Binnenland 45-29 including 30 on the defensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by Binnenland helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international swingman Anouk Biesters (182-86) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (went 12 for 12 at the free throw line !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Karin Kuijt (175-90) chipped in 19 points and 8 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was international forward Leonie Kooij (187-86) with 19 points and 8 rebounds. Lekdetec.nl maintains fourth position with 8-10 record. Binnenland at the other side still keeps top place with five games lost. Lekdetec.nl are looking forward to face Grasshoppers (#5) in Katwijk in the next round. Binnenland will play on the road against the league's second-placed ProBuild Lions (#2) in Landsmeer and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Den Helder was also worth to mention about. Second ranked ProBuild Lions (12-6) played at the court of 6th ranked Den Helder (5-13). ProBuild Lions managed to secure a 7-point victory 68-61. American guard Molly McDowell (178-81, college: S.Illinois) notched a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and Katie Bussey supported her with 20 points and 9 rebounds. Even a double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds by the former international center Marloes Roetgerink (187-77) did not help to save the game for Den Helder. Den Helder's coach Frank de Wit rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending champion maintains second position with 12-6 record behind leader Binnenland. Den Helder at the other side stay at the bottom place with 13 games lost. ProBuild Lions will play against league's leader Binnenland in Rotterdam in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Den Helder will play on the road against CTO (#3) in Amsterdam and hopes to get back on the winning track.

The best player for the winners was Isabella Slim who scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Natalie Van Den Adel who recorded 18 points and 4 steals. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. CTO have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 10-8 record having just three points less than leader Binnenland. Grasshoppers lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 12 games lost. CTO will meet at home bottom-ranked Den Helder (#6) in the next round. Grasshoppers will play against Lekdetec.nl in Bemmel and it may be a tough game between close rivals.



Den Helder - ProBuild Lions 61-68

The game in Den Helder was also worth to mention about. Second ranked ProBuild Lions (12-6) played at the court of 6th ranked Den Helder (5-13). American Kayla Bernsen (190-C) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's second-best Den Helder and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 1. The center had the game-high 25 points adding nine rebounds and three assists for Den Helder in her team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team CTO (#6, 0-1) with 40-point margin 94-54.
