The game was mostly controlled by Groningen. Den Helder K. was better in fourth quarter 26-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Groningen dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Den Helder K.'s 26. Groningen forced 19 Den Helder K. turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Den Helder K.'s players. The game was also dominated by American players.
