The teams have now bigger motivation at this stage of Regular Season. Every game can be crucial and decide about teams' position at the end of Regular Season. There was no lack of interesting games this round. The round ended with defeat of the leader, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Den Bosch (25-5) on the court of sixth ranked Den Helder K. on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Den Helder K. 67-60. Den Bosch was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Storm Warren (200-88, college: LSU) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and guard Mark Hill (180-87, college: CS Northridge, agency: Three Eye Sports) chipped in 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Den Helder K.'s coach Jean-Marc Jaumin used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Matt Bauscher (188-85, college: Boise St.) responded with 15 points and 4 assists. Den Helder K. maintains sixth place with 16-16 record. Defending champion Den Bosch still keeps top position with five games lost. Den Helder K. are looking forward to face league's second-placed Leiden on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Den Bosch will have a break next round.
Bottom-ranked Rotterdam managed to get a third victory, breaking the series of eight consecutive loses. This time they won against ninth-ranked Amsterdam 97-91. American guard Anthony Miles (182-89, college: Lamar, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) nailed 40 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 14-for-14 from the free throw line !!!) for the winning side and Cameron Echols accounted for 13 points and 15 rebounds. Center Berend Weijs (208, college: Maryland) came up with 24 points and 7 rebounds for Amsterdam in the defeat. Rotterdam maintains tenth place with 3-27 record. Amsterdam lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 27 games lost. Rotterdam will play against higher ranked M.Magixx (#7) in Nijmegen in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Amsterdam will play on the road against Zwolle and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Den Helder K.'s next round opponent will be league's second-placed Leiden on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Zwolle will play against Amsterdam.

Amsterdam's coach Tyronne Marioneaux tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Weert maintains eighth place with 13-17 record. Amsterdam lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 27 games lost. Weert will face higher ranked Leeuwarden (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Amsterdam will play against Zwolle (#4).

In the last game of round 29 Groningen won against Rotterdam on the opponent's court 95-77.


Amsterdam - Rotterdam 91-97

Bottom-ranked Rotterdam managed to get a third victory, breaking the series of eight consecutive loses. This time they won against ninth-ranked Amsterdam 97-91. The guests were already 17 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 34-23 Amsterdam's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 97-91 at the end of the game. Rotterdam made 22-of-23 charity shots (95.7 percent) during the game. Den Bosch led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Den Bosch forced 20 Leeuwarden turnovers. The best player for the winners was the former international Kees Akerboom (200-83, agency: Court Side) who scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Wil Carter (203-88, college: San Jose St.) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. Four Den Bosch players scored in double figures. Very expected game when 10th ranked Rotterdam (3-27) was defeated at home by third ranked Groningen (22-9) 95-77 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Groningen. Rotterdam was better in third quarter 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Rotterdam 50-28 including a 33-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Groningen looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Guard Nate Rohnert (197-87, college: Denver) stepped up and scored 10 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and forward Jamal Boykin (203-87, college: California) chipped in 10 points and 10 rebounds. Donar Groningen (Eredivisie) signed 25-year old American forward Evan Bruinsma (202-97kg-92, college: Detroit Mercy, agency: Inception Sports). He played last season at Rilski in Bulgarian NBL league. Bruinsma managed to play in three leagues last year. In 33 NBL games he had very impressive stats: 16.0ppg, 8.2rpg, 1.8apg and 1.2spg. Defending champion Donar Groningen (Eredivisie) added to their roster 22-year old American guard Stephen Domingo (201-98kg-95). He just graduated from California (NCAA). Domingo has played there for the last four years. As mentioned above he is just out of the college and it is his first season as a pro. Domingo's team made it to the Pac-12 Tournament Semifinals for two years in a row (2016 and 2017).
