The Regular Season in Eredivisie is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 3 rounds.

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Leiden. Second ranked Leiden faced 4th placed Zwolle. Host Leiden (26-7) defeated guests from Zwolle (18-15) 75-62. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Zwolle. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 44-28 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Leiden maintains second place with 26-7 record behind leader Den Bosch. Zwolle at the other side keeps the fourth position with 15 games lost. Leiden are looking forward to face league's leader Den Bosch on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Zwolle will play against Groningen in Groningen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Dejuan Wright (190-88, college: FIU, agency: Court Side) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 7 rebounds. Matt Bauscher contributed with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. The former international guard Jeremy Ormskerk (190-82, agency: Court Side) answered with 9 points for Amsterdam. Amsterdam's coach Tyronne Marioneaux gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Den Bosch have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 27-5 record. Amsterdam lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 29 games lost. Den Bosch will play against league's second-placed Leiden at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Amsterdam will play against Leeuwarden (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Nijmegen was also quite interesting. 5th ranked Leeuwarden (17-16) played at the court of seventh ranked M.Magixx (15-18). M.Magixx defeated Leeuwarden 95-85 on Saturday. It was a great evening for Roman Nardi who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 7 assists (made all of his seven free throws). At the losing side Samme Givens responded with 22 points (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). M.Magixx maintains seventh place with 15-18 record, which they share with Weert. Loser Leeuwarden keeps the fifth position with 16 games lost. M.Magixx will meet Weert (#8) on the road in the next round. Leeuwarden will play against Amsterdam and hope to secure a win.

Other games of round 31 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Weert defeated Rotterdam in a road game 74-70. Groningen smashed M.Magixx at home 95-74. Den Helder K. lost to Leiden on the opponent's court 59-71. Zwolle outscored M.Magixx in a home game 93-73.
The best stats of 31th round was 28 points and 12 rebounds by Antwan Carter of Weert.


Amsterdam - Den Bosch 44-109

Leader Den Bosch delivered the twentieth seventh victory. This time they crushed 9th ranked Amsterdam (4-29) 109-44. The game without a history. Den Bosch led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Amsterdam's 16 and made 20-of-25 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Den Bosch forced 26 Amsterdam turnovers and outrebounded them 42-22 including 28 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Dejuan Wright (190-88, college: FIU, agency: Court Side) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 7 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Matt Bauscher (188-85, college: Boise St.) contributed with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Four Den Bosch players scored in double figures. The former international guard Jeremy Ormskerk (190-82, agency: Court Side) answered with 9 points and forward Maurits Pieper (198-90) added 8 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Amsterdam. Rotterdam - Weert 70-74

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Rotterdam (3-29) was defeated at home by eighth ranked Weert (15-18) 74-70 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 20-17. But Rotterdam won second period 20-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Weert looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Rotterdam's players. It was a great evening for American center Antwan Carter (198, college: Longwood, agency: Court Side) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds. The former international center Kenneth van Kempen (208-87, college: Ohio, agency: Court Side) helped adding 19 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists. At the losing side American guard Anthony Miles (182-89, college: Lamar, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) responded with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import power forward Cameron Echols (203-81, college: Ball St., agency: R.H.Consultancy) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Four Rotterdam players scored in double figures. Weert moved-up to seventh place, which they share with M.Magixx. Loser Rotterdam stay dead last with 29 lost games. Indian-Canadian forward Robbie Sihota (198-87) helped adding 17 points and 14 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Samme Givens (195, college: Drexel) responded with 22 points (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) and the other American import guard Robert Holcomb Faye (185-84, college: Radford) scored 6 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Five M.Magixx and four Leeuwarden players scored in double figures. M.Magixx maintains seventh place with 15-18 record, which they share with Weert. No shocking result in a game when third ranked Groningen (23-10) smashed at home 7th ranked M.Magixx (15-18) 95-74 on Thursday. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 95-74. Groningen dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to M.Magixx's 30. They outrebounded M.Magixx 44-25 including 16 on the offensive glass. Groningen looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Jamal Boykin (203-87, college: California) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 8 rebounds. The former international guard Rogier Jansen (188-84, agency: Court Side) helped adding 18 points and 4 assists. Groningen's coach Ivica Skelin felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American-Italian guard Roman Nardi (186-85, college: Villanova) responded with 13 points and 4 assists and British forward Shane Walker (208-87, college: Loyola, MD) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Groningen maintains third place with 23-10 record having three points less than leader Den Bosch. Very expected game when 6th ranked Den Helder K. (16-17) was defeated on the road by second ranked Leiden (26-7) 71-59 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Leiden. Den Helder K. managed to win third quarter 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Leiden especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. It was a great evening for naturalized Moroccan forward Mohamed Kherrazi (200-90, agency: R.H.Consultancy) who led his team to a victory scoring 12 points and 6 rebounds. International Worthy de Jong (194-88, agency: R.H.Consultancy) helped adding 11 points and 4 steals. Four Leiden players scored in double figures.
