The Regular Season in Eredivisie just ended.

The game between Top Four teams took place in Groningen. Third ranked host Groningen (25-10) defeated their biggest opponent Leiden (27-9) 79-70. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 49-38 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. American forward Jamal Boykin (203-87, college: California) scored 20 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Rogier Jansen (188-84, agency: Court Side) chipped in 13 points and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side international Worthy de Jong (194-88, agency: R.H.Consultancy) responded with 10 points and 8 rebounds. Groningen have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 25-10 record having four points less than leader Den Bosch. Leiden at the other side keeps the second place with nine games lost.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Zwolle. 4th ranked host Zwolle (19-17) lost to first ranked Den Bosch (29-6) 85-78. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Wil Carter (203-88, college: San Jose St.) notched 20 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and Andre Young supported him with 17 points and 7 assists. Den Bosch's coach Raoul Korner allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists by guard Zack Novak (193-90, college: Michigan, agency: Priority Sports) did not help to save the game for Zwolle. Defending champion maintains first position with 29-6 record. Zwolle at the other side dropped to the fifth place with 17 games lost.
10th ranked Rotterdam (3-31) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Leeuwarden (20-16) with the biggest margin this round 87-75 on Saturday night. Samme Givens fired a double-double by scoring 27 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Anthony Miles produced 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for lost side. Leeuwarden have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Rotterdam lost fifth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 31 lost games.

In the last two games of round 34 M.Magixx won against Amsterdam on the opponent's court 93-87. Den Helder K. managed to outperform Weert in a home game 71-61.


Amsterdam - M.Magixx 87-93

Rather expected game when 9th ranked Amsterdam (4-32) was defeated at home by seventh ranked M.Magixx (17-19) 93-87 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 31-23 charge, which allowed them to win the game. M.Magixx maintains seventh position with 17-19 record. Amsterdam lost twelfth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 32 games lost.

Den Helder K. - Weert 71-61

Rather predictable result when sixth ranked Den Helder K. (18-18) defeated at home 8th ranked Weert (16-20) 71-61 on Saturday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. The former international center Jeroen van der List (213-89, college: Indian Hills CC, agency: Court Side) fired 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. American guard Mark Hill (180-87, college: CS Northridge, agency: Three Eye Sports) chipped in 12 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Den Helder K.'s coach Jean-Marc Jaumin used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Bryquis Perine (190-88, college: Green Bay, agency: Court Side) produced 18 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Rahmon Fletcher (177-88, college: Green Bay, agency: Court Side) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for lost side. 10th ranked Rotterdam (3-31) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Leeuwarden (20-16) with the biggest margin this round 87-75 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Leeuwarden. Rotterdam managed to win fourth quarter 24-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening.
