Holland U16-Switzerland U16 65:68

Switzerland finish on the 11th place at the U16 European Championship in Division B. The Swiss side overcame Holland 68:65 at their last game in Sarajevo.
It was Holland that started with 23-15 lead at the end of the first period. Switzerland needed a strong second frame to take 40:34 at the halftime as they won the second period 25-11. Switzerland led 59:49 early in the fourth period, while Menno Dijkstra (210-C-97) tied it all at 64:64. Anthony Polite (190-SF-97) however brought a late victory for his team as he scored the last free throw.
Anthony Polite top-scored for the winners with 25 points and 13 rebounds. Noah Burrell (180-PG-97) brought 19 and Andrea Beretta (175-PG-97) tallied 13. Menno Dijkstra finished the game with 14 points in a loss and Freek Fox (200-F-97) collected 9 points and 11 rebounds. Coen Stolk (198-F-97) delivered 8 and Bart Shield (188-G-97) added 7.

There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in Prom.Divisie. Grasshoppers smashed Red Giants in Katwijk 97-49. Red Giants will play next round against Harlemlakers trying to get back on the winning streak. Grasshoppers will try to continue on its current victory against Akrides in Ijmuiden. Plymouth University Raiders (BBL) inked 24-year old American forward Greg Mays (203-100kg-93, college: Green Bay). He played most recently at Rotterdam Challengers in Dutch Eredivisie. In 12 games he recorded 13.1ppg, 4.8rpg and 1.2spg last season. Mays also played that season for another team Northern Arizona Suns in U.S. NBA-G-League where in four games he averaged 3.5ppg and 1.5rpg. The Regular Season in Prom.Divisie just started. The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of CobraNova (0-1) in Leidschendam on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by Grasshoppers (1-0) 91-80. Grasshoppers is looking forward to face Red Giants (#13) in Meppel in the next round which should be an easy win for them.
