The Second Stage in A Division just ended.

The most shocking disappointment of round 10 was a home defeat of 5th ranked Marso NYKK (10-18) by sixth ranked Szedeak (11-17) who outscored them by 15 points 95-80. The game was mostly controlled by Szedeak. Marso NYKK managed to win second period 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Szedeak especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American guard Anthony Jones (191-G-84, agency: R.H.Consultancy, college: Indiana Tech) scored 20 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Serbian power forward Nebojsa Dukic (206-85) chipped in 20 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. At the losing side Latvian forward Martins Berkis (198-85, agency: TSS Management) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Szedeak moved-up to fourth place in Division. Marso NYKK at the other side dropped to the sixth position with 18 games lost.
Important game to mention about took place in Sopron. First ranked Falco-Szova (17-11) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 3rd ranked Soproni (14-14) 80-77 on Sunday evening. Slovenian forward Zeljko Zagorac (204-81) notched 15 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and Laszlo Simon supported him with 18 points. Falco-Szova's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 28 points by American guard Dontay Thomas (186-84, college: La Salle) did not help to save the game for Soproni. Falco-Szova maintains first position in Division with 17-11 record. Soproni at the other side keeps the third place with 14 games lost.
Very important is a home loss of third ranked Kaposvari (18-14) against fourth ranked Jaszberenyi (17-15) on Saturday night. Host Kaposvari was defeated by Jaszberenyi in Kaposvar 93-80. Miljan Rakic fired 32 points and 5 assists for the winners. Jaszberenyi's coach Sandor Foldi used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Kyle Swanston produced 21 points and 4 assists for lost side. Jaszberenyi maintains fourth position in Division with 17-15 record. Loser Kaposvari keeps the third place with 14 games lost.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Pecs. Second ranked host PVSK Pannon (15-13) smashed 4th ranked ZTE KK (11-17) 82-61. Worth to mention a great performance of Norbert Toth who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. PVSK Pannon's coach Ferenc Csirke felt very confident that he used entire bench saving starting five for next games. PVSK Pannon maintains second position in Division with 15-13 record having fourteen points less than leader Albacomp. ZTE KK at the other side dropped to the fifth place with 17 games lost.
A Division top team - Albacomp (25-7) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat sixth ranked Szolnok (8-2) in Szekesfehervar 72-63. Akos Keller had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. Albacomp maintains first position in Division with 25-7 record. Defending champion Szolnok keeps the sixth place with two games lost.

In Division Kormend lost to Atomeromu on the opponent's court 78-94.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 29 points and 13 rebounds by Milan Csorvasi of Szedeak.

Kaposvari - Jaszberenyi 80-93

Very important is a home loss of third ranked Kaposvari (18-14) against fourth ranked Jaszberenyi (17-15) on Saturday night. Host Kaposvari was defeated by Jaszberenyi in Kaposvar 93-80. The game was mostly controlled by Jaszberenyi. Kaposvari managed to win third quarter 28-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Serbian guard Miljan Rakic (195-86, agency: BeoExcell) fired 32 points and 5 assists for the winners. Serbian swingman Milos Markovic (201-84) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. Jaszberenyi's coach Sandor Foldi used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Rather expected game in Paks where 5th ranked Kormend (13-19) was defeated by second ranked Atomeromu (22-10) 94-78 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 51-31 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Atomeromu looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American point guard Lorenzo Williams (189-84, college: Rice, agency: Stanley International) scored 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and international swingman David Vojvoda (196-90, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) chipped in 15 points during the contest. Atomeromu's coach Laszlo Czigler let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the losing side guard Andras Rujak (187-88, agency: TSS Management) responded with 19 points and American forward Kyle Austin (203-88, college: Cal-Riverside) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Albacomp led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Albacomp outrebounded Szolnok 45-33 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. But then PVSK Pannon had a 25-11 second period charge getting the lead and ZTE KK was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 61-82. They outrebounded ZTE KK 39-25 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Norbert Toth (203-86, agency: TSS Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Important game to mention about took place in Sopron. First ranked Falco-Szova (17-11) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 3rd ranked Soproni (14-14) 80-77 on Sunday evening. It looked good early as Soproni took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Falco-Szova had a 27-16 second period charge getting the lead and Soproni was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 77-80. Strangely Soproni outrebounded Falco-Szova 39-26 including a 15-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. Slovenian forward Zeljko Zagorac (204-81) notched 15 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international Laszlo Simon (190-86, agency: TSS Management) supported him with 18 points.
