Albacomp gained the first win in the best-of-three quarterfinal series versys PVSK Pannon. The game was mostly controlled by Albacomp. PVSK Pannon managed to win fourth quarter 26-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Albacomp had a 28-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Brandon Wood (187-89, college: Michigan St., agency: N.E.T.) stepped up and scored 30 points for the winners and naturalized American forward Damian Hollis (203-88, college: G.Washington, agency: Two Points) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side American forward Todd Hendley (206-84, college: NC-Wilmington) responded with 26 points and 7 rebounds and guard Peter Kovacs (189-88) scored 14 points and 5 assists. Four PVSK Pannon players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Szolnoki had little problems against Falco-Szova in the opener. The game was mostly controlled by Szolnok. Falco-Szova managed to win second period 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Szolnok dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Falco-Szova's 34. They outrebounded Falco-Szova 46-28 including a 34-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Szolnok looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by Falco-Szova helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Brandon Gay (203-82, college: San Diego, agency: Edge Sports) fired 12 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. International power forward Miklos Szabo (205-86, college: Hofstra, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Five Szolnok players scored in double figures. Forward Tamas Harazin (204-85) produced 15 points and 7 rebounds and the former international guard Laszlo Kalman (186-72, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) added 8 points and 8 assists respectively for lost side. Kormend surprised Atomeromu on the road to surge ahead in the series. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Kormend players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Kyle Austin (203-88, college: Cal-Riverside) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 7 rebounds. Tsmoki-Minsk (Premier League) tabbed 26-year old American guard Devon Saddler (183-95kg-91, college: Delaware). He played most recently at JP-Auto Jaszbereny KSE in Hungarian A Division. Defending champion Alba Fehervar (A Division) strengthened their roster with addition of American forward Elijah Macon (206-109kg). Macon just graduated from W.Virginia (NCAA). He has played there for the last five years. As mentioned above Macon is just out of the college and it is his first season as a pro.
