There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Second Stage in A Division. Coincidentally all hosts won their games.

Round 2 in A Division means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Kormend where host Kormend (1-1) beat league's leader Kaposvari (1-1) 89-77 on Sunday evening. The hosts trailed by 16 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 12 points. The best player for the winners was American forward Kyle Austin (203-88, college: Cal-Riverside) who scored 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international forward Csaba Ferencz (195-85, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). American point guard Christopher Dunn (189-83, college: W.Virginia St., agency: Court Side) produced 26 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the guests. Kormend left bottom position moving up to fifth place in Division. Kaposvari will play next round against league's leader Albacomp trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Kormend will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Szolnok in Szolnok.

American guard Brandon Wood (187-89, college: Michigan St., agency: N.E.T.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points. Jarrod Jones contributed with 16 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Albacomp's coach Branislav Dzunic allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Serbian center Rastko Dramicanin (207-86, agency: BeoExcell) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds for Jaszberenyi. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Jaszberenyi at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. Jaszberenyi will play next round against strong Atomeromu trying to get back on the winning streak. Albacomp will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Kaposvari on the road.

Tomislav Ivosev notched a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Falco-Szova maintains first position in Division with 13-11 record. FS Debrecen at the other side keeps the seventh place with 21 games lost. Falco-Szova will have a break next round. FS Debrecen will play at home against the league's second-placed Soproni (#2).

In the last game of round 2 In Division Marso NYKK was crushed by ZTE KK in Zalaegerszeg 83-64.

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Marso NYKK's (9-15) road loss to fourth ranked ZTE KK (10-13) 64-83. The game was mostly controlled by ZTE KK. Marso NYKK was better in fourth quarter 20-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Marso NYKK 38-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. International David Gaspar (196-82, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) notched 29 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and American guard Dorenzo Hudson (195-88, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Two Points) supported him with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Even 19 points and 6 rebounds by American guard Anthony Nelson (185-89, college: Niagara) did not help to save the game for Marso NYKK. Guard Laszlo Polyak (190-93) added 12 points for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. ZTE KK maintains fourth position in Division with 10-13 record. The game with biggest result difference took place in Szombathely. Local Falco-Szova (13-11) outscored 7th ranked FS Debrecen (2-21) 107-57. The game without a history. Falco-Szova led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Falco-Szova forced 28 FS Debrecen turnovers and outrebounded them 42-22 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Falco-Szova shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 61.9 percentage. Serbian forward Tomislav Ivosev (204-90) notched a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and Slovenian forward Zeljko Zagorac (204-81) supported him with 18 points and 11 rebounds.
