Top ranked Albacomp (22-7) recorded its seventh loss on the court of fourth ranked Jaszberenyi on Wednesday night. Visitors were defeated by Jaszberenyi 94-90. Albacomp trailed by 16 points after 3 quarters before a 31-19 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 90-94 at the end of the game. Jaszberenyi looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Albacomp helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Serbian guard Miljan Rakic (195-86, agency: BeoExcell) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points, 6 rebounds and 14 assists for the winners. Serbian swingman Milos Markovic (201-84) chipped in 21 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. American point guard Ronald Moore (183-88, college: Siena) produced 27 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists for lost side. Albacomp's coach Branislav Dzunic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Jaszberenyi maintains fourth place in Division with 16-13 record. Albacomp at the other side still keeps top position with seven games lost. Jaszberenyi are looking forward to face league's second-placed Atomeromu in Paks in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Albacomp will play at home against Kaposvari and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Atomeromu (20-9) against sixth ranked Szolnok (6-1) on Wednesday night. Visiting Atomeromu was defeated by Szolnok in a tough game in Szolnok 68-73. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard James Florence (185-88, college: Mercer, agency: Pro One Sports) who helped to win the game recording 30 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Rashad Bell contributed with 15 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Lorenzo Williams (189-84, college: Rice, agency: Stanley International) answered with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for Atomeromu. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Defending champion maintains sixth place in Division with 6-1 record. Atomeromu at the other side keeps the second position with nine games lost. Szolnok will play against higher ranked Kormend (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Atomeromu will play against Jaszberenyi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Szombathely. First ranked Falco-Szova faced 3rd placed PVSK Pannon. Host Falco-Szova (15-11) defeated guests from Pecs (13-13) 84-76. It was a great evening for Tomislav Ivosev who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 7 rebounds. Falco-Szova's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Norbert Toth responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Falco-Szova maintains first place in Division with 15-11 record. Loser PVSK Pannon keeps the third position with 13 games lost. Falco-Szova will meet ZTE KK (#4) in the next round. PVSK Pannon will have a break next round.

In the last two games of round 7 In Division Kormend was crushed by Kaposvari in a road game 110-88. Szedeak smashed FS Debrecen at home 95-75.

Kaposvari - Kormend 110-88

There was no surprise when 5th ranked Kormend (12-17) was crushed on the road by third ranked Kaposvari (18-11) 110-88 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Kaposvari. Kormend managed to win third quarter 27-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kaposvari shot 60.9 percent from the field and made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. It was a great evening for American-Kittitian swingman Kyle Swanston (201-86, college: JMU, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who led his team to a victory scoring 28 points and 6 rebounds. The former international Roland Hendlein (203-86, agency: TSS Management) helped adding 14 points and 8 rebounds. Five Kaposvari players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Kyle Austin (203-88, college: Cal-Riverside) responded with 24 points and 6 rebounds and the former international forward Attila Farkas (209-87, agency: TSS Management) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
