Piestanske C. (#8) forced the game against DKSK (#7) into an overtime, but lost by seven points 76-83 on Sunday night. The game took place in Piestany. But the guests from Miskolc were better at the end. DKSK (4-10) moved-up to sixth place in Division. Newly promoted Piestanske C. keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost.

Rest of the games of round 8 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
In Division PEAC-PECS were defeated by Samorin in a road game 87-75. UNI Gyor was beaten by MBK Ruzomb. at home 62-74. UNI Gyor lost to MBK Ruzomb. on the opponent's court 47-56. Good Angels outscored UNIQA Eurol. in a home game 96-57. Bacsbasket managed to beat ZTE NKK on the road 72-60. BSE-FCSM was defeated by Cegledi EKK on its own court 48-51. MBK Eurl.Vasas was smashed by Atomeromu in Szekszard 89-56.
The best stats of 8th round was 27 points and 8 rebounds by Andrea Barbour of PEAC-PECS.

Samorin - PEAC-PECS 87-75

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked PEAC-PECS's (3-11) road loss to fifth ranked Samorin (5-9) 75-87 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Samorin. PEAC-PECS was better in second period 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Samorin maintains fifth position in Division with 5-9 record. Newly promoted PEAC-PECS dropped to the seventh place with 11 games lost.

UNI Gyor - MBK Ruzomb. 62-74

The game between closely ranked teams ended with third ranked MBK Ruzomberok's (10-4) road victory over one of their biggest challengers UNI Gyor (6-8) 74-62 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by MBK Ruzomberok. UNI Gyor was better in fourth quarter 15-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. MBK Ruzomberok dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to UNI Gyor's 22. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was Slovakian forward Katarina Tetemondova (188-88) who scored 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. American center Nadia Parker (191-87, college: USC) chipped in 19 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Parker is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. MBK Ruzomberok's coach Stefan Svitek used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Australian point guard Natalie Hurst (164-83) produced 21 points and 7 assists and American power forward Tangela Smith (193-77, college: Iowa, agency: Josep and Nicolas) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. MBK Ruzomberok maintains third position in Division with 10-4 record having thirteen points less than leader Bacsbasket. Defending champion UNI Gyor keeps the fourth place with eight games lost.

DKSK (4-10) moved-up to sixth place in Division. Newly promoted Piestanske C. keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost.

The game between closely ranked teams ended with one of their biggest challengers UNI Gyor's (6-8) road loss to third ranked MBK Ruzomberok (10-4) 47-56 on Thursday. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by MBK Eurl.Vasas' players.
