Jarrod Jones
American Jarrod Jones (205-F-90) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's leader Albacomp and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 8 (Second Stage).
The 22-year old forward had a double-double of 20 points and ten rebounds, while his team edged out Kaposvari (#3, 18-12) 89-85. It allowed Albacomp to consolidate first place in the Hungarian A Division. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier in Second Stage. Albacomp has a very solid 23-7 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. Jones just recently signed at Albacomp, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Jarrod Jones averages this season 16.0ppg and 9.4rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 26-year old Serbian center Rastko Dramicanin (207-C-86, agency: BeoExcell) of Jaszberenyi. Dramicanin impressed basketball fans with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Jaszberenyi was edged in overtime by slightly higher-ranked Atomeromu (#2, 21-9) 95-93. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Places 1-6. Jaszberenyi still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 16-14 record is not bad at all. Dramicanin is well-known by Jaszberenyi fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.3ppg (#7). He also registered 8.6 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was another Jaszberenyi's star - Serbian Miljan Rakic (195-G-86, agency: BeoExcell). Rakic showcased his all-around game by recording 22 points, six rebounds and nine assists in the last round. Despite Rakic's great performance Jaszberenyi lost 93-95in overtime to #2 ranked Atomeromu. But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Jaszberenyi needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams in Places 1-6. Their record is 16 victories and 14 lost games. Rakic has a great season in Hungary. After 29 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 6.3apg (3rd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Laszlo Kalman (186-G-72) of Falco-Szova - 14 points, 2 rebounds and 11 assists
5. Christopher Dunn (189-PG-83) of Kaposvari - 20 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists
6. David Vojvoda (196-G/F-90) of Atomeromu - 33 points and 3 rebounds
7. Damian Hollis (203-F-88) of Albacomp - 16 points and 10 rebounds
8. Rashad Bell (201-F-82) of Szolnok - 24 points and 8 rebounds
9. James Florence (185-G-88) of Szolnok - 17 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists
10. Marko Spica (205-C/F-86) of Kaposvari - 17 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
