Tyrone Kent
26-year old swingman Tyrone Kent (196-G/F-86) put on an amazing game in the last round for Ironi Ramat Gan and receives a Eurobasket.com National League Player of the Week award for round 22.
He had a double-double of 25 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Kiryat Tivon (#12, 5-17) 94-81. Ironi Ramat Gan maintains the 5th position in Israeli National League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Ironi Ramat Gan will need more victories to improve their 14-8 record. Kent turned to be Ironi Ramat Gan's top player in his first season with the team. Tyrone Kent averages this season 15.7ppg and 5.7rpg. Worth to mention Kent played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

Second best performed player last round was Dallis Joyner (203-F-90) of Maccabi K/B. He is American forward in his first season at Maccabi K/B. In the last game Joyner recorded impressive double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Maccabi K/B lost that game 77-91 to the higher-ranked Macc.B.Yaakov (#9, 8-14). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Maccabi K/B is still at the dead bottom 14th position. 19 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories Maccabi K/B managed to get this year. Joyner is a newcomer at Maccabi K/B and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Ironi Ramat Gan's star - Amit Tamir (208-C/F-79). Tamir got into 30-points club by scoring 33 points in the last round. He went also for eight rebounds . He was another key player of Ironi Ramat Gan, helping his team with a 94-81 easy win against the lower-ranked Kiryat Tivon (#12, 5-17). Ironi Ramat Gan needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 14 victories and 8 lost games. Tamir has a very solid season. In 22 games in Israel he scored 18.5ppg. He also has 8.2rpg, FGP: 56.8% and 3PT: 43.0%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Allen Durham (198-F-88) of Hapoel Afula - 21 points and 16 rebounds
5. Ramon Dyer (201-F-84) of Hapoel Kazrin - 24 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Bilal Benn (196-G/F-86) of Ironi Nes-Ziona - 18 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists
7. Lenny Daniel (203-F-87) of Maccabi K/G - 22 points and 7 rebounds
8. Alex Carcamo (200-F-77) of Kiryat Tivon - 19 points and 10 rebounds
9. Nate Miller (193-G-87) of Ironi Nahariya - 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Jermaine Hall (196-F-80) of Macc.B.Yaakov - 18 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

Winner League Round 33 of Regular Season - 6 days ago
The Regular Season in Winner League just ended. Winner League round 33 caused change at the leadership position. Twelfth defeat of league's leader Hapoel Eilat (21-12) against sixth ranked Ironi Nahariya (18-15) 80-78 was the most important game of the last round. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Ironi Nahariya made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game.
