Maccabi Ashdod - Elitzur Holon 95-74 (3-0)

The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 25-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 95-74. Maccabi Ashdod dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Elitzur Holon's 40. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was Ashley Shields (180-85, college: SW Tenn.St.CC) who scored 24 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Power forward Danielle Adams (185-89, college: Texas A&M) chipped in 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Maccabi Ashdod players scored in double figures. Maccabi Ashdod's coach felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Avery Warley (190-87, college: Liberty) who recorded 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Kerri Gardin (186-84, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Regeneracom Sports) added 22 points and 5 rebounds respectively.

The game without a history. Elitzur Ramla led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Bnot Hertzeliya (D1) agreed terms with 23-year old American guard Tiasha Gray (170-94, college: Austin Peay State). She started the season at Mark in Swedish Damligan. In 23 games she had very impressive stats: 24.3ppg, 7.5rpg, 5.4apg and 3.6spg this season. The last season Gray played at another team Lady Govs in U.S. semi-pro league NCAA1 where in 30 games she recorded also remarkable stats: 20.6ppg, 4.4rpg, 5.3apg and 2.7spg.
