Here is the weekly review of the top performing Israeli players, who play currently abroad.

Oded Brandwein
Oded Brandwein
#1. This week's number one is former U20 international guard Oded Brandwein (186-88, agency: N.E.T., currently plays in Poland), who plays in the Polish TBL. He could not help Energa Czarni (13-11) in their last game. Despite Brandwein's very good performance the sixth-placed Energa Czarni lost 81-91 at home to the higher-ranked (#3) Stelmet ZG in the Places 1-6 group. He was the top scorer with 23 points. Brandwein also added 3 passes in 29 minutes on the court. It's Brandwein's first season with the team. Brandwein belongs to league's best passers and is ranked #7 with 3.9apg. He also averaged so far 11.1ppg, 2FGP: 42.9%, 3FGP: 43.1% and FT: 84.6% in the 21 games he played so far. Brandwein has a dual citizenship: Israeli and Polish. Former Elitzur Yavne starter played for the Israeli U20 national team five years ago.

Robert Rothbart
Robert Rothbart
#2. Second place goes to an international center Robert Rothbart (217-86, agency: INVICTUS Sports Group, currently plays in Poland), who plays in the Polish TBL. He was not able to help Start Gdynia (5-19) in their last game on Friday. Despite Rothbart's very good performance Start Gdynia (#6) was defeated 74-60 on the road by the higher-ranked Siarka Jezioro (#3) in the Places 7-12 group. He was the top scorer with 18 points. Rothbart also added 9 rebounds and 6 blocks. Rothbart belongs to league's best rebounders (ranked #7) and also on the list of best blockers (fourth place). He has very reliable stats this season: 14.1ppg, 7.5rpg, 1.3bpg, 2FGP: 54.2% and FT: 68.0%. Rothbart is another player who holds two passports: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Israeli. Ex-Hapoel Galil Elyon player is in the roster of the Israeli senior national team.

Alex Tyus
Alex Tyus
#3. The Israeli player who performed third best last week abroad was an international center Alex Tyus (205-88, college: Florida, currently plays in Italy). He managed to help FoxTown Cantu in a victory against one of league's weakest teams VL Pesaro (6-17) 74-62 in the Italian SerieA on Sunday night. Tyus scored 5 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 16 minutes. FoxTown Cantu (15-8) is placed fourth in the SerieA. This year Tyus averages: 8.9ppg, 5.3rpg, 1.2bpg, 2FGP: 70.3%(83-118) and FT: 55.6% in the 22 games. He is a naturalized American. Tyus is also a member of the Israeli senior national team. He used to play for Maccabi Ashdod in Israeli league.

Omri Casspi
Omri Casspi
#4. Small forward Omri Casspi (204-88, currently plays in NBA) was not able to secure a victory for the Cleveland Cavaliers (22-46) in their game against the Indiana Pacers (42-26) in the NBA. He did not have that impressive stats last Monday. Casspi scored only 2 points in 5 minutes on the court. The Cleveland Cavaliers were crushed 111-90 in Indianapolis by the Indiana Pacers. It was Cavaliers' fourth consecutive loss in a row. This year Casspi's overall stats are: 3.9ppg and 2.2rpg in the 30 games. He is also Israeli national team player.

The list of other players, who all have Israeli passport but never been selected to any of Israeli national teams:

#1. Jason Thomas (191-G-82, college: American, currently plays in Sweden) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Norrkoping Dolphins (21-12) crushing them 104-80 in the Swedish Basketligan in Tuesday night's game. Thomas scored 10 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Boras Basket (21-12) is placed fifth in the Basketligan. Thomas has relatively good stats this season: 10.9ppg, 6.4rpg and 2.0apg. He is a naturalized American. Thomas used to play for Ironi Kfar Hamaccabia Ramat Gan in Israeli league.

#2. Guy Aud (188-G-89, currently plays in Germany), who plays in the German ProA (second division) could not help Finke Baskets (11-16) to beat Duesseldorf Baskets (18-9). He scored 7 points. Finke Baskets was edged 77-74 on the road by the much higher-ranked Duesseldorf Baskets (#3). There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Aud is ranked third on the list of the best passers in the league. His total stats this season are: 9.6ppg, 2.9rpg and 5.7apg. Aud has a dual citizenship: Israeli and German. Worth to mention Aud played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.
