Hapoel T-A - Hapoel Holon 70-77

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when third ranked Hapoel Holon (12-15) defeated on the road second-ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (13-14) 77-70 on Sunday. Americans were the main players on the court. Guard Jerome Dyson (191-87, college: Connecticut) stepped up and scored 24 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and forward Frank Hassell (203-88, college: ODU) chipped in 11 points and 18 rebounds. Four Hapoel Holon players scored in double figures. point guard Demontez Stitt (186-89, college: Clemson) responded with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Brian Randle (203-85) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Hapoel Holon maintains third place in League with 12-15 record having just two points less than leader Galil Gilboa. Newly promoted Hapoel Tel-Aviv keeps the second position with 14 games lost.

Galil Gilboa - Bnei Hasharon 103-76

Not a big story in a game in Rosh Pina where 5th ranked Bnei Hasharon (10-17) was rolled over by first ranked Galil Gilboa (14-13) 103-76 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Galil Gilboa. Bnei Hasharon was better in fourth quarter 27-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Galil Gilboa dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to Bnei Hasharon's 50. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Bnei Hasharon's players. American forward Mitchell Watt (208-89, college: Buffalo) stepped up and scored 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and his fellow American import forward Shawn Taggart (207-85, college: Memphis) chipped in 20 points and 8 rebounds. Naturalized American power forward Isaac Rosefelt (204-85, college: St.Thomas, agency: Avi Zilberman) responded with 20 points and 9 rebounds and the former international forward Ben Rice (195-90, agency: Z.A.G. - Law Offices) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Galil Gilboa maintains first place in League with 14-13 record. Loser Bnei Hasharon keeps the fifth position with 17 games lost.
