The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 18-10 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. International center Maria Laterza (190-89, college: Marist, agency: Two Points) fired 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Silvia Favento (185-85) chipped in 9 points and 9 rebounds. British center Dominique Allen (192-89, college: ORU) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds and the former international forward Monica Bonafede (186-85) added 16 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.

The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But T. La Spezia won third quarter 18-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Irpino won last quarter 22-15. They also forced 23 T. La Spezia turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Lithuanian forward Gabriele Narviciute (187-90) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points and 16 rebounds. Latvian power forward Lauma Reke (185-86, college: St.Peter's) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and the former international forward Sara Giorgi (187-86) added 14 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for T. La Spezia. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.

But then Min.Battipaglia had a 19-11 second period charge getting the lead and Ancona was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 50-58. Min.Battipaglia dominated on the defensive end, holding Ancona to just 7 points in third quarter. They also forced 25 Ancona turnovers.
