However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Biancoblu BO. The best player for the winners was Craig Callahan who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Sigma Barcellona have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 19-7 record. Biancoblu BO at the other side dropped to the seventh position with 12 games lost. Sigma Barcellona will face Upea CdO (#11) in Capo d'Orlando in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Biancoblu BO will play at home against LeGamberi Foods Forli (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last two games of round 27 AcegasAps TR was defeated by Pall.Trento in a road game 84-79. Giorgo Tesi PT smashed Fileni BPA Jesi at home 92-72. Prima Veroli lost to FCM Ferentino on the opponent's court 72-86. LeGamberi FO managed to outperform C.de Latte BRE in a home game 85-83. Givova Scafati recorded a loss to Aget Service IM on the road 76-66. Tezenis VE defeated Novipiu Casale on its own court 81-67.
The best stats of 27th round was 28 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 6 steals by David Cournooh of Biancoblu BO.


Pall.Trento - AcegasAps TR 84-79

There was no surprise when 13th ranked AcegasAps TR (9-16) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Pall.Trento (12-13) 84-79 on Sunday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 84-79. Pall.Trento made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. AcegasAps TR was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Nigerian-American point guard Michael Umeh (188-84, college: UNLV, agency: Two Points) who scored 26 points. The former international power forward Luca Garri (207-82) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized Argentinian point guard Ariel Filloy (189-87, agency: Interperformances) who recorded 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and Belarusian Mikita Meshcharakou (202-88, college: Wake Forest) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Four Pall.Trento and five AcegasAps TR players scored in double figures. AcegasAps TR's coach Eugenio Dalmasson rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Pall.Trento moved-up to eighth place. AcegasAps TR lost fifth consecutive game. AcegasAps TR at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the thirteenth position with 16 games lost. Pall.Trento will face Fileni BPA Jesi (#12) on the road in the next round. AcegasAps TR will play against Tezenis VE in Verona.

They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 16-13. Sigma Barcellona made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game, while Biancoblu BO only scored six points from the stripe. They outrebounded Biancoblu BO 42-30 including a 35-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was naturalized American forward Craig Callahan (203-81, college: NC-Wilmington, agency: Three Eye Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Jobey Thomas (194-80, college: Charlotte) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds. Power forward Fiorello Toppo (198-80) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. Five Tuscany Pistoia players scored in double figures. Novipiu Casale was better in fourth quarter 19-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tezenis VE dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Novipiu Casale's 26. The best player for the winners was Nigerian-American power forward Olaseni Lawal (208-86, college: Wayne St., MI) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 21 rebounds and 4 blocks. American guard Charlie Westbrook (193-89, college: S.Dakota) chipped in 23 points. Lawal is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Casper Ware (177-90, college: Long Beach St.) who recorded 32 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and the former international swingman Niccolo Martinoni (202-89) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively. The victory was the third consecutive win for Tezenis VE. They moved-up to sixth place. Loser Novipiu Casale keeps the third position with nine games lost.
