There will be only one (last) round of the Regular Season in Lega 2.

The game between third ranked Novipiu Casale (18-10) and twelfth ranked AcegasAps TR (11-16) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Novipiu Casale was defeated by AcegasAps TR in a tough game in Trieste 63-72. Novipiu Casale trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 14-12 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 63-72 at the end of the game. Naturalized Argentinian point guard Ariel Filloy (189-87, agency: Interperformances) stepped up and scored 29 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners and power forward Luca Gandini (205-85) chipped in 16 points and 11 rebounds. American swingman Rodney Green (195-88, college: La Salle) responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). AcegasAps TR moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Upea CdO and FCM Ferentino. Novipiu Casale at the other side keeps the third position with ten games lost. AcegasAps TR is looking forward to face Fileni BPA Jesi (#13) on the road in the next round. Novipiu Casale will have a break next round.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Barcellona. First ranked host Sigma Barcellona (20-8) smashed 4th placed C.de Latte BRE (16-11) 102-83. American point guard Taurean Green (184-85, college: Florida) nailed 17 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side and Craig Callahan accounted for 15 points and 9 rebounds. American guard Michael Jenkins (191-86, college: Winthrop) came up with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for C.de Latte BRE in the defeat. C.de Latte BRE's coach Alberto Martelossi rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Sigma Barcellona maintains first place with 20-8 record. C.de Latte BRE at the other side keeps the fourth position with 11 games lost. Sigma Barcellona will play against Givova Scafati (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. C.de Latte BRE will play against Pall.Trento (#7) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Trento supposed to be also quite interesting. 5th ranked LeGamberi Foods Forli (15-12) played at the court of seventh ranked Pall.Trento (14-13). Pall.Trento smashed LeGamberi Foods Forli 94-71 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of LeGamberi Foods Forli. The best player for the winners was Luigi Dordei who scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Pall.Trento's coach Maurizio Buscaglia felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bernardo Musso produced 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the guests. Pall.Trento have a solid series of three victories in a row. Newly promoted Pall.Trento maintains seventh place with 14-13 record, which they share with Biancoblu BO. Loser LeGamberi Foods Forli keeps the fifth position with 12 games lost. Pall.Trento will meet higher ranked C.de Latte BRE (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. LeGamberi Foods Forli will play against Tezenis VE in Verona and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 29: Upea CdO lost to Giorgo Tesi PT on the opponent's court 70-74. Bottom-ranked Aget Service IM unfortunately lost to Biancoblu BO in a home game 64-70. Fileni BPA Jesi recorded a loss to FCM Ferentino on the road 86-103. Tezenis VE defeated Prima Veroli on its own court 66-50.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 32 points and 7 rebounds by Delroy James of FCM Ferentino.

Giorgo Tesi PT - Upea CdO 74-70

Very expected game when 10th ranked Upea CdO (11-16) was defeated on the road by second ranked Tuscany Pistoia (19-8) 74-70 on Sunday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Upea CdO was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Tuscany Pistoia made 21-of-23 free shots (91.3 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Panamanian swingman Michael Hicks (194-76, college: Texas A&M-CC) who scored 17 points. Swingman Riccardo Cortese (195-86) chipped in 17 points. Four Tuscany Pistoia players scored in double figures. Tuscany Pistoia's coach Paolo Moretti used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American swingman Alex Young (198-89, college: IUPUI) produced 21 points and 7 rebounds and Finnish Shawn Huff (198-84, college: Valparaiso) added 13 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the guests. Tuscany Pistoia maintains second place with 19-8 record having just -8 point less than leader Sigma Barcel. Newly promoted Upea CdO keeps the tenth position with 16 games lost. They share it with AcegasAps TR and FCM Ferentino. Tuscany Pistoia will meet Prima Veroli (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Upea CdO will play against Aget Service IM (#15) in Imola and hope to secure a win.
