There were many interesting games last round. The round ended with change at the leadership position and favorites losing the games.

Round 24 in SerieA means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Cremona where host Vanoli Cremona (10-14) beat league's leader Banco di Sard. (18-6) 108-91 on Sunday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Vanoli Cremona. Banco di Sard. managed to win third quarter 25-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Vanoli Cremona shot 60.9 percent from the field. Vanoli Cremona outrebounded Banco di Sard. 32-20 including 22 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Banco di Sard.'s players. The best player for the winners was Croatian forward Hrvoje Peric (203-85) who scored 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. International point guard Luca Vitali (201-86) chipped in 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). At the other side the best for losing team was Polish forward Michal Ignerski (207-80, college: Mississippi St., agency: Stanley International) who recorded 23 points. Vanoli Cremona moved-up to ninth place, which they share with JuveCaserta and Enel Brindisi. Banco di Sard. at the other side dropped to the second position with six games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Cimberio VA. Banco di Sard. will play next round against Armani Milano trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Vanoli Cremona will try to continue on its current victory against eighth ranked Umana Venezia on the road.
Seventh-ranked Trenkwalder RE (13-11) made lots of trouble for second ranked Cimberio Varese (19-5) in Reggio Emilia. The visitors from Varese managed to secure only three-point victory 77-74. However their fans expected much easier game. It was a good game for American power forward Bryant Dunston (202-86) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 7 rebounds. Ebi Ere contributed with 15 points for the winners. American guard Donnel Taylor (198-82, college: UAB) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds for Trenkwalder RE. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Cimberio Varese keeps a position of league leader. Newly promoted Trenkwalder RE keeps the seventh place with 11 games lost. Cimberio Varese will play against Lottomatica Roma (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Trenkwalder RE will play against Enel Brindisi (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Siena was also quite interesting. One of their biggest challengers Cantu (15-9) played at the court of fifth ranked Montepaschi Siena (15-9).
