We bring you last week's top performances from Latvians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

Anete Jekabsone-Zogota
Anete Jekabsone-Zogota
#1. This week's number one is former international shooting guard Anete Jekabsone-Zogota (177-83, currently plays in Euroleague). She led her Russian team UMMC Ekaterinburg to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Bourges (2-1) crushing them 73-44 in the Euroleague in Friday night's game. Jekabsone-Zogota recorded 11 points and added 3 assists in 24 minutes on the court. It was the game of the round between two top 2 ranked teams in group A. UMMC Ekaterinburg (3-0) is placed first. So far her team won all three games in the Semi-Finals. This year Jekabsone-Zogota averages: 5.3ppg, 1.8rpg, 1.5apg, 2FGP: 42.9%, 3FGP: 37.8% and FT: 83.3% in the 15 games she played so far. She played for the Latvian senior national team four years ago.

Aija Putnina
Aija Putnina
#2. Second place goes to an international power forward Aija Putnina (191-88, agency: Josep and Nicolas, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish LFB. Putnina could not help Navarra Pamplona (8-11) in their last game. Despite her very good performance Navarra Pamplona lost 59-65 on the road to the lower-ranked (#9) Hondarribia-Irun. Putnina was the top scorer with 15 points. She also added 8 rebounds and made 4 blocks in 35 minutes. It was Navarra Pamplona's fourth consecutive loss in a row. Putnina's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Putnina is ranked third on the list of the top scorers in the league and also on the list of best rebounders (second place). She has individually a very good year with high stats. Putnina averages: 16.1ppg, 8.8rpg, 2FGP: 42.0%, 3FGP: 28.1% and FT: 82.7% in the 16 games. She is in the roster of the Latvian senior national team.

Anita Teilane
Anita Teilane
#3. The Latvian player who performed third best last week abroad was former international center Anita Teilane (196-85, currently plays in Bulgaria), who plays in the Bulgarian NBL. Teilane was not able to help Haskovo 2012 (10-13) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite her very good performance Haskovo 2012 was defeated 74-67 at home by the higher-ranked Montana 2003 (#3). Teilane was the top scorer with 21 points. She also added 6 rebounds and made 2 blocks. Teilane's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. This season Teilane has very high stats. She averages: 17.1ppg, 8.8rpg, 1.8apg, 3.2bpg, 2FGP: 46.2% and FT: 70.1%. Teilane played for the Latvian national team six years ago.
