Siauliai won over Ventspils in the Quarterfinal opener by three points. The Lithuanian team grabbed an 81:78 victory before heading to Latvia. The second game of the tie will be played on March 9th in Ventspils. Siauliai started with 21-17 in the first period and posted a 19-14 rally in the second frame. Ventspils were trailing by 9 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 28-23 charge of Siauliai, which allowed them to win the game. They made 18-of-23 free shots during the game. Laurynas Samenas (192-G-88) fired 21 points for the winners. Aurimas Kieza (202-PF-82, college: Hofstra) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Janis Timma (201-F-92, agency: FCM) produced 20 points and 6 rebounds and American point guard Donald Sims (185-PG-87, college: Appalachian St.) added 19 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Sandis Valters (193-G-78) followed them with 11 points in the losing effort.

Khimki celebrated the second straight win at the VTB League Quarterfinals. The Winner of Group A improved to 2-0 lead in the series after a 104:82 win in Game 2.

Khimky surged ahead against VEF Riga following a comfortable home win in the opener. The game was mostly controlled by Khimky. VEF Riga managed to win fourth quarter 29-27.
