   #1. This week's number one is an international small forward Davis Bertans (210-92, currently plays in Serbia). He contributed to an easy victory against the leader Zvezda (22-3) crushing them 82-54 in a derby game in the Serbian A League in Wednesday night's game. Bertans recorded 10 points in 17 minutes on the court. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group Superliga. BC Partizan MT:S Beograd (12-2) is placed first. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. Bertans is currently fifth on the league's list of best blockers with 1.3bpg. He also averaged so far 13.4ppg, 3.2rpg, 2.0apg, 1.3spg, 2FGP: 65.7%(44-67), 3FGP: 39.3% and FT: 75.7% in the 16 games he played so far. Bertans is currently a member of the Latvian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international small forward Rihards Kuksiks (197-88, college: Arizona St., currently plays in Ukraine), who plays in the Ukrainian Superleague. He could not help Budivelnyk (28-11) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite Kuksiks' good performance the league leader Budivelnyk was edged 96-95 on the road by the lower-ranked Azovmash (#3). He scored 10 points and had 3 steals. This season Kuksiks averages: 6.8ppg, 3.2rpg, 1.6apg, 2FGP: 43.2%, 3FGP: 37.7% and FT: 81.3%. He is in the roster of the Latvian senior national team.

   #3. The Latvian player who performed third best last week abroad was former international forward Ernests Kalve (200-87, currently plays in Hungary). Kalve contributed to Szolnok's victory against the leader Albacomp (8-2) 83-79 in the Hungarian A Division on Friday night. He recorded 6 points and added 3 passes in 25 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group Places 1-6. Szolnoki Olajbanyasz (8-2) is placed second. It was his team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. It's Kalve's first season with the team. This year Kalve's overall stats are: 8.8ppg, 4.3rpg, 1.1apg, 2FGP: 49.2%, 3FGP: 28.6% and FT: 60.6% in the 12 games. He played for the Latvian national team three years ago.

Forward Ivars Timermanis (203-82, currently plays in Romania) managed to help CSU Asesoft Ploiesti to win against the 11th-ranked Targu Mures (8-19) 83-76 in the Romanian Liga Nationala in Monday night's game. Timermanis scored only 3 points. CSU Asesoft Ploiesti (23-7) is placed third in the Liga Nationala. It was his team's tenth consecutive victory in a row. Timermanis' total stats this season are: 8.8ppg and 2.9rpg. He used to play for the Latvian national team back in 2007.

Miasto Szkla Krosno (PLK) agreed terms with 26-year old Latvian international guard Davis Lejasmeiers (192-84kg-91). He moved there from Sodertalje Kings in Swedish Basketligan where he played this season. In 47 Basketligan games he had 10.9ppg, 2.9rpg and 4.0apg. Lejasmeiers helped them to make it to the final.
