Ernests Kalve (200-F-87) completes the successful season abroad as he finished the season Szolnoki Olajbanyasz on the second place. Last night Albacomp registered the victory in the decisive fifth game of the championship series and celebrated A Division title. Ronald Moore nailed 17 points to lead Albacomp past Szolnok.
The teams stayed close in the intense first quarter. The scoreboard read 12:12 after the opening frame Albacomp pulled in front in the second frame. The hosts held Szolnok to 10 points in the period and gained a 29:22 lead at the interval. Szolnok narrowed the deficit at 4-point mark midway through the third term. But Albacomp finished it strong to gain a 54:44 advantage with ten minutes remaining. Akos Horvath and Sead Sehovic dragged the visitors within 5 points early in the fourth frame. The hosts answered with a 7:2 rally to restore a 10-point advantage 61:51. Ronald Moore and Jarrod Jones gave the home team a 74:61 lead within the final two minutes of regulation. Szolnok could not recover in the dying minutes as Albacomp rolled to the triumph. Brandon Wood provided 15 points, while Damian Hollis added 13 points in the win. Marton Bader responded with 15 points for Szolnok. James Florence chipped in 11 points in the loss.
The season 2012-2013 Ernests Kalve started for EA7 Emporio Armani Milano (Serie A but then moved to Szolnoki Olajbanyasz (Hungary-A Division). In EuroChallenge his stats read 14.3ppg, 5.6rpg, 1.3apg, FGP: 58.2%, 3PT: 33.3%, FT: 78.0%.
