The teams have now bigger motivation at this stage of Regular Season. Every game can be crucial and decide about teams' position at the end of Regular Season.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Rudupis as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Rudupis defeated 3rd placed Juventus in Prienai 78-74. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Juventus. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 28-14. But Juventus won second period 22-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Rudupis made 7 blocks. 25 personal fouls committed by Juventus helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Swingman Gediminas Orelikas (200-90) stepped up and scored 24 points for the winners and forward Arturas Valeika (207-85, college: Midland CC) chipped in 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side forward Laimonas Kisielius (203-85, college: William & Mary) responded with 21 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Neptunas. Juventus at the other side dropped to the fifth place with eight games lost. Juventus will play next round against Lietkabelis trying to get back on the winning streak. Rudupis will try to continue on its current victory against tenth ranked LSU-Baltai in Kaunas.
The game in Kedainiai was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Pieno Zvaigzdes (10-7) played at the court of 7th ranked Nevezis (8-9). Pieno Zvaigzdes defeated Nevezis 83-68. American-Puerto Rican point guard TreVon Hughes (183-87, college: Wisconsin, agency: Edge Sports) nailed 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and Sarunas Vasiliauskas accounted for 16 points. Guard Sarunas Kulevicius (195-89) came up with 18 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) for Nevezis in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pieno Zvaigzdes moved-up to third place, which they share with Siauliai. Nevezis at the other side keeps the seventh position with nine games lost. Pieno Zvaigzdes will play against Lietuvos rytas (#8) in Vilnius in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Nevezis will play at home against Siauliai and hopes to get back on the winning track.
10th ranked LSU-Baltai (5-13) was outscored at home by fifth ranked Siauliai (10-7) with the biggest margin this round 97-75 on Tuesday night. Laurynas Samenas fired 23 points for the winners. Vidmantas Sragauskis produced 20 points for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Siauliai have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Pieno Zvaigzdes. Loser LSU-Baltai keeps the tenth position with 13 games lost. Siauliai will meet Nevezis (#7) in the next round. LSU-Baltai will play against the league's leader Rudupis in Prienai and hope to secure a win.
