There will be only one (last) round of the Regular Season in LKL.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Rudupis (15-4) in Prienai on Tuesday night. Hosts were defeated by seventh ranked Zalgiris (9-1) 77-67. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Rudupis. The game was mostly controlled by Zalgiris. Rudupis managed to win fourth quarter 18-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for the former international center Ksistof Lavrinovic (210-79) who led his team to a victory with 15 points and 7 rebounds. The former international Rimantas Kaukenas (192-77, college: Seton Hall) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Zalgiris' coach Joan Plaza used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Arturas Milaknis (195-86) answered with 22 points for Rudupis. Defending champion moved-up to sixth place. Rudupis at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. They share it with Neptunas. Zalgiris are looking forward to face Lietuvos rytas (#7) in Vilnius in the next round. Rudupis will play on the road against Sakalai (#11) in Vilnius and is hoping to win this game.

Neptunas' coach Kazys Maksvytis rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Pieno Zvaigzdes moved-up to third place, which they share with Siauliai and Juventus. Neptunas at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. They share it with Rudupis. Pieno Zvaigzdes will play against LSU-Baltai (#10) in Kaunas in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Neptunas will play at home against Nevezis (#8) in Kedainiai and hopes to get back on the winning track.

It was an exceptional evening for Renaldas Seibutis who led the winners and scored 21 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Lietuvos rytas' coach Dirk Bauermann allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Rolandas Alijevas came up with 25 points and 7 assists for Siauliai in the defeat. Lietuvos rytas have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain seventh place with 9-2 record. Loser Siauliai keeps the third position with eight games lost. They share it with Pieno Zvaigzdes and Juventus. Lietuvos rytas will meet higher ranked Zalgiris (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Siauliai will play against Juventus in Utena and it may be a tough game between close rivals.



Pieno Zvaigzdes - Neptunas 87-76

Very important is a home loss of third ranked Siauliai (11-8) against seventh ranked Lietuvos rytas (9-2) on Monday night. Host Siauliai was defeated by Lietuvos rytas in Siauliai 92-81. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Siauliai. The guests trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 92-81. It was an exceptional evening for the former international Renaldas Seibutis (198-85) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Serbian point guard Nemanja Nedovic (191-91, agency: Beo Basket) accounted for 16 points and 6 assists for the winning side. Lietuvos rytas' coach Dirk Bauermann allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games.
