Lithuania U20 beat Lithuania U19 in a friendly game between two sides. The older players looked better and grabbed an 89:69 win. Lithuania U20 started with a 26:17 lead and never looked behind. They added 20-13 rally in the second frame and enjoyed a 46:30 halftime advantage. Lithuania U19 managed to reply with a 22-18 rally in the third period but could not come closer. The U20 team needed a 25-17 surge for the final 30-point victory. Ieva Kazlauskaite (178-F-94) top-scored for the winners with 28 points and Laura Zelnyte (188-F-94) nailed 15. Ieva Preskienyte (193-C-93) and Greta Tamasauskaite (171-PG-91) poured in 13 each, while Simona Dobrovolskyte (179-F-94) scored 10. Daugile Sarauskaite (196-C-96) answered with 13 points in defeat and Roberta Mizgeryte (188-PF-95) posted 11. Austeja Sirsinaityte (164-PG-95) and Evelina Mauraite (173-G-95) scored 10 points each in a loss.

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Lithuanian players, who play currently abroad. This week's number one is former international power forward Gintare Mazionyte (188-91). She could not help Orvieto (20-6) in their last game. Despite Mazionyte's very good performance the third-placed Orvieto (20-6) lost 79-84 on the road to the lower-ranked (#6) Costa Masnaga in the Group A.
Here is the weekly review of the top performing Lithuanian players, who play currently abroad.
#1. This week's number one is former international power forward Gintare Mazionyte (188-91, college: Texas, currently plays in Italy). She could not help Orvieto (20-6) in their last game. Despite Mazionyte's very good performance the third-placed Orvieto (20-6) lost 79-84 on the road to the lower-ranked (#6) Costa Masnaga in the Group A.
She was the top scorer with 24 points. Mazionyte also added 5 rebounds in 40 minutes on the court; quite an impressive performance considering it's only her third season in pro basketball. It's Mazionyte's first year with the team.
Mazionyte has individually a very good season with high stats. She averages: 16.1ppg, 11.7rpg, 1.4apg, 2.5spg, 2FGP: 53.5%, 3FGP: 36.7% and FT: 86.8% in 27 games she played so far.
Mazionyte played for the Lithuanian senior national team five years ago.
#2. Second place goes to an international point guard Santa Okockyte (175-92, currently plays in Sweden). She was not able to help Udominate (27-0) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite Okockyte's very good performance the league leader Udominate was defeated 71-65 in Lulea by the second-ranked Basket.
She was the top scorer with 20 points.
It's Okockyte's first season with the team.
This year Okockyte has very high stats. She averages: 15.5ppg, 3.1rpg, 3.8apg, 2.0spg, 2FGP: 52.4%, 3FGP: 35.8% and FT: 79.6%.
Okockyte is in the roster of the Lithuanian senior national team.
#3. The Lithuanian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international guard Kamile Nacickaite (181-89, college: Drexel, currently plays in Russia). She was not able to secure a victory for Dynamo Moscow (9-11) in their last game. Despite Nacickaite's good performance Dynamo Moscow was crushed 99-51 in Orenburg by the higher-ranked (#3) Nadezhda.
She was the top scorer with 14 points in a mere 19 minutes.
Nacickaite has relatively good stats this year: 13.7ppg, 2.8rpg, 2.5apg, 1.3spg, 2FGP: 37.3%, 3FGP: 35.4% and FT: 83.3% in 27 games.
She is also a member of the Lithuanian senior national team.
#4. Power forward Egle Siksniute (198-91, currently plays in Hungary) contributed to PEAC-Pecs' victory against the closely-ranked Miskolc (13-7) 78-71 in the Hungarian A Division in Wednesday night's game.
Siksniute recorded 7 points and grabbed 5 rebounds.
PEAC-Pecs (14-6) is placed fifth in the A Division.
Siksniute's overall stats this season are: 8.5ppg and 3.5rpg.
She is also Lithuanian national team player.
#5. Former U20 international center Ieva Preskienyte (193-93, agency: ProDep Management, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Aros Leon (1-2) in their game against Alcobendas (2-1) in the Spanish LF2 (second division).
She scored 9 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and made 2 blocks.
But Aros Leon (#3) was crushed 88-63 on the opponent's court by the second-ranked Alcobendas in the Group 1.
The Second Stage already ended.
Preskienyte's overall stats this season are: 8.2ppg and 5.1rpg.
She used to play for the Lithuanian U20 national team
four years ago.
#6. Point guard Inesa Visgaudaite (169-91, currently plays in Germany) managed to help BG 74 Veilchen Ladies Goettingen in a victory against the fourth-ranked Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel (15-7) 56-46 in the German 2.Bundesliga (second division) in Saturday night's game.
Visgaudaite scored 5 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 25 minutes.
BG 74 Veilchen Ladies Goettingen (19-3) is placed first in North group.
It was her team's sixth consecutive victory in a row.
This year Visgaudaite has relatively solid stats: 11.9ppg, 3.2rpg and 1.7apg in 24 games.
She is an international player who is currently on the senior Lithuanian National Team roster.
#7. Former U20 international forward Gabriele Narviciute (190-90, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Empoli (21-5) in their last game on Thursday. Despite Narviciute's good performance Empoli (#2) was badly defeated 61-44 on the opponent's court by the lower-ranked Scrivia (#7) in the Group A.
She recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and getting 12 rebounds. Narviciute also added and 3 steals.
Narviciute has reliable stats this season: 11.7ppg, 9.6rpg, 2.8apg and 2.2spg.
She used to play for the Lithuanian U20 national team
seven years ago.
One more player who has never been selected to any of national teams, but has Lithuanian passport:
#1.Gabriele Nikitinaite (178-SG-98, currently plays in United Kingdom) led Suns to a victory over the league leader Nottingham Wildcats (14-4) 64-54 in the British WBBL last Sunday.
Nikitinaite was MVP of the game. She scored 24 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 34 minutes.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Sevenoaks Suns (12-6) is placed third in the WBBL.
Nikitinaite's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical.
Nikitinaite is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's her fifth year in Suns' roster.
This season she has relatively solid stats: 14.2ppg, 6.1rpg and 2.2apg in 18 games she played so far.
Nikitinaite has a dual citizenship: Lithuanian and British.
Despite her Lithuanian passport, Nikitinaite currently plays for the British U20 national team and is not eligible to play for the Lithuanian team.

Homentmen Antelias (Division I) strengthened their roster with addition of 28-year old Lithuanian international power forward Gintare Petronyte (196-89). She started the season at Mersin Buyuksehir Belediye in Turkish KBSL. In 26 games she recorded very impressive stats: 17.8ppg, 7.6rpg, 1.3apg, 1.0spg and 1.3bpg this season. Among other achievements Petronyte received Eurobasket.com All-Lithuanian LMKL Player of the Year award back in 2008, 2009 and 2012. She has been also a member of Lithuanian international program for some years. Petronyte has regularly played for Lithuanian senior team since 2006 and previously for U20 National Team between 2006 and 2009. She also represented Lithuania at the Qualifications to European Championships 2017 last year. Petronyte is a very experienced player. She has played also professionally in Greece (Athinaikos), Poland (Wisla Can-Pack and CCC Polkowice), Italy (Taranto) and Lithuania (VICI Aistes, Lintel 118 Lithuanian Junior Team and Kibirkstis).
