Dustin Scott
American power forward Dustin Scott (203-F/C-85) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Residence, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 8 (Second Stage).
The 27-year old player had a double-double of 27 points and 17 rebounds, while his team beat Musel Pikes (#6, 13-13) 75-69. Residence maintains the 4th position in Luxembourg Diekirch League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier in Second Stage. Residence will need more victories to improve their 15-11 record. In the team's last game Scott had a remarkable 87.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Residence's top player in his first season with the team. Former College of Charleston star has very solid stats this year. Scott is in league's top in assists (8th best: 3.4apg) and averages impressive 66.7% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 29-year old American Mychal Green (193-G-83) of Soleuvre. Green had a very good evening with a double-double of 44 points and 12 rebounds. Of course Soleuvre cruised to a 98-86 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Basket Esch (#-3, 8-15). This victory allowed Soleuvre to move up to -4th position in Places 7-10. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 10-13 record. Green is a newcomer at Soleuvre, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 26.3ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 8.4rpg and 3.8apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Elton Frazier (196-F-88) of Contern (#-5). Frazier scored 27 points and grabbed fourteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Contern, leading his team to a 92-80 win against #-2 ranked Black Star in a game of the week. The chances of Contern ranking at the top of Places 7-10, however are very questionable as they have already lost 12 games, recording just eleven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Frazier could help Contern to bring them higher in the standings. Frazier has a great season in Luxembourg. After 19 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.9ppg (7th best) and rebounds with 10.1rpg (8th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Jeron Belin (198-F-88) of Contern - 25 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Chehales Tapscott (195-F-90) of Soleuvre - 19 points, 13 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Anthony Simpson (203-C/F-87) of Etzella - 12 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists
7. Christophe Donnersbach (192-SG-84) of Basket Esch - 25 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Marcus Kennedy (193-F-84) of Residence - 27 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Brandon Gary (202-F/C-83) of Musel Pikes - 19 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Christophe Ruppert (187-G-87) of Black Star - 24 points and 5 rebounds

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
