Amicale overcame a tough resistence from top-ranked Sparta to clinch a series-sweeping victory. They will now play in the Final. Sparta was tied after three quarters and then recorded another tie at the end of regular time. They were eventually defeated in overtime 4-10s. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Amicale made 8 blocks. The best player for the winners was Alex Laurent (196-93) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds. American forward Reggie Golson (201-81, college: SE Missouri St., agency: Court Side) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds and 5 blocks. The former international forward Larrie Smith (198-75, college: Tenn Tech) produced a double-double by scoring 27 points and 14 rebounds and the former international Patrick Arbaut (181-87) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.

T71 held off Residence to reach the championship series. Residence was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 5-point lead after three quarters before a 21-12 charge of T71, which allowed them to win the game. T71 outrebounded Residence 42-21 including a 30-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was international point guard Tom Schumacher (190-87, college: Cal.Baptist) who scored 28 points and 5 assists. American forward Ryan Sharry (203-89, college: Middlebury, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 19 rebounds. Four T71 players scored in double figures. American forward Marcus Kennedy (193-84, college: Montevallo, agency: Interperformances) produced 30 points and 9 rebounds and international point guard Pitt Koster (182-89) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the guests.

The round was rather attractive and full of interesting results. The round ended with change at the leadership position and favorites losing the games. Round 5 in Total League means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Dudelange where host T71 (3-2) beat league's leader Amicale (3-2) 80-75 on Saturday evening.
