The first game of Erste Basketball League finals was finished tonight in Podgorica and Buducnost secured first home win (75-68). Although the final score could give a wrong idea about the game, the truth is that the game was very tied and that Sutjeska's players really fought hard and were very close to surprise Buducnost tonight. But it did not happen and they will have a chance to make the third surprise of the season (after the National Cup win and Superleague win) against Buducnost in Niksic, on next Tuesday. Buducnost started the game well, got a +10 lead and everybody thought it would be another easy home win. However, Sutjeska's players did not give up and made a 15 points run in the 2nd quarter to take the lead at the halftime! The third quarted was also tied and both teams had foul troubles, especially the big men. In the last quarter Buducnost was able to hit some important triples and decide the game few minutes before the end. Aleksa Popovic (201-SF-87) led Buducnost in scoring with 17 points while Dee Bost (187-G-89, college: Mississippi St.) added 14 points. Sutjeska's leader Nikola Pavlicevic (192-SG-88, agency: BBEH Cokrlija) missed many three point shots but he was able to score 14 points anyway. Big men Marko Perovic (203-C-92) and Radoje Vujosevic (209-C-89, agency: Interperformances) scored scored 12 points each and played well under the boards.
