Montenegro wins the opener of the tournament. The team had a slow start against Slovakia, but then erupted for 77:63 win.
Slovakia looked better in the opening period and managed to take 18-14 lead. They did not slow down in the second frame and even after a 17-19 loss, enjoyed 2-point advantage at the halftime. Montenegro however came back from the lockers with the hungrier mood. They won the third period 26-17 and took the lead that they never gave back to Slovakia. Montenegro started the last period with a 15-1 surge and dominated the rest of the game. Vynuchalova managed to reduce to 74:54 and then she also posted another two free throws for 74:56. Brezaniova reduced to two more points and then Skerovic gave Montenegro 75:58. Turcinovic and Brezaniova exchanged the baskets for 77:61, while Tetemondova closed the game for the final result.
Jelena Dubljevic (191-C-87) top-scored for the winners with 20 points while Jelena Skerovic (176-G-80, agency: Josep and Nicolas) delivered 13. Milica Jovanovic (189-F/C-89) followed them with 12 and Ana Turcinovic (190-C-93) added 10. Romana Vynuchalova (192-C/F-86, agency: Regeneracom Sports, college: Penn St.) and Katarina Tetemondova (188-F-88) replied with 13 points each in defeat, whilst Timea Sujova (173-G-84) had 7.

Montenegro once again defeated Slovenia, 70-62, in their last warm-up game before the European Championship in Czech. Iva Perovanovic (188-C/F-83) scored 25 points and Angelica Robinson(197-F-87, college: Georgia) added 18. Montenegro opened the game with nine straight points and led 16-4 midway through the first quarter. Montengro defeated Slovenia 72-59 in Podgorica for their second win in pre-European Championship warmups. Milica Jovanovic (189-F/C-89) scored 28 points on shooting 11-of-14 from the field including 6-of-8 behind the 3-point arc. Jelena Dubljevic(191-C-87) will not play at the European Championship for the Montenegrin national team. WNBA champion injured her foot during the warm-up game against Canada and will be sidelined eight weeks.
