Sweden registered their second win at the 2013 EuroBasket. They knocked down Montenegro at the start of the Second Round for both teams. Sweden have now caught up with Montenegro at 1-2 record in Group E. Frida Eldebrink (174-G-88, agency: Josep and Nicolas) nailed 21 points to pace the Scandinavian team.
The lead changed hands for several times throughout the opening quarter. However Sweden capped the period on a 9:0 run to take a 22:15 advantage. Sweden opened a double-digit lead midway through the second period 36:25. They arrived at halftime leading by 7 points 38:31. Jovanovic and Anna De Forge dragged the Balkan team within 4 midway through the third term 42:46. Ashley Key (177-G-85, college: N.Carolina St.) was pivotal for Sweden at the start of the fourth frame. She nailed 8 points to give Sweden a 58:48 lead. The Scandinavians kept Montenegro at bay throughout the rest of the quarter and sealed the key victory at the end. Ashley Key finished with 17 points, while Elin Eldebrink (174-G-88, agency: Josep and Nicolas) produced 6 points for the winners. Iva Perovanovic (188-C/F-83) answered with 14 points and 14 rebounds for Montenegro. Jelena Dubljevic (191-C-87) topscored with 17 points in the defeat.

Spanish side Snatt's Femeni Sant Adria continued buliding a roster for its inaugural Liga Femenina 1 season by signing Montengerin Bojana Kovacevic(187-F/C-96).
