Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Montenegrins who are currently playing abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international center Nikola Vucevic (210-90, college: USC, currently plays in NBA), who plays in the NBA. He could not help the Orlando Magic (18-51) in their last game. Despite Vucevic's very good performance the Orlando Magic lost 109-115 on the road to the Milwaukee Bucks. He had a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 15 rebounds. Vucevic also added 4 assists in 42 minutes on the court; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his second season in pro basketball. It was Magic's fifth consecutive loss in a row. Vucevic is currently fifth on the league's list of best rebounders with 11.5rpg. He also averaged so far 12.4ppg, 1.8apg, 2FGP: 52.4% and FT: 68.3% in the 68 games he played so far. Vucevic is currently a member of the Montenegrin senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international center Nikola Pekovic (209-86, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in NBA), who plays in the NBA. Pekovic was not able to help the Minnesota Timberwolves (23-43) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the Minnesota Timberwolves were edged 101-98 in Sacramento by the Kings. Pekovic had a double-double by scoring 18 points and getting 12 rebounds in 34 minutes. Pekovic has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 15.7ppg, 8.8rpg, 2FGP: 50.8% and FT: 72.9% in the 51 games. Pekovic is in the roster of the Montenegrin senior national team.

The Montenegrin player who performed third best last week abroad was an international shooting guard Bojan Bakic (195-83, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Serbia), who plays in the Serbian A League. He was not able to secure a victory for Metalac (15-10) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Bakic's very good performance Metalac was defeated 92-81 at home by the much lower-ranked Smederevo Vizura (#11). He was the top scorer with 32 points. Bakic also added 3 assists. His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Bakic is currently fifth on the list of top scorers. This season he has very high stats. Bakic averages: 16.5ppg, 3.1rpg, 2.1apg, 2FGP: 59.7%(46-77), 3FGP: 31.8% and FT: 82.6%. He is also a member of the Montenegrin senior national team.

   #4. Power forward Bojan Dubljevic (205-91, also represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Eurocup), who plays in Spain couldn't help Valencia Basket (4-2) in their last game. Despite Dubljevic's very good performance the second-placed Valencia Basket lost 87-97 in Kuban to the leading Lokomotiv in the group J of Eurocup. He recorded 17 points in 20 minutes. Dubljevic has relatively good stats this year: 13.3ppg and 4.3rpg in the 15 games. He is also Montenegrin national team player.

International power forward Milko Bjelica (205-84, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Euroleague) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Fenerbahce Ulker (2-9) crushing them 87-67 in the Euroleague on Thursday night. Bjelica scored 9 points and added 4 assists. Caja Laboral Vitoria (6-6) is placed sixth in group F. There are only two games left until the end of the Euroleague Top 16. So now every game is very crucial. Bjelica's overall stats this season are: 5.2ppg, 2.7rpg and 1.1apg. He has a dual citizenship: Serbian and Montenegrin. Bjelica plays currently for the Montenegrin national team.

   #6. Center Vladimir Golubovic (213-86, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Turkey) led Antalya to a victory against the seventh-ranked TED Kolejliler (11-11) 100-93 in the Turkish TBL last Saturday. Golubovic recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and getting 11 rebounds. It was his first game for Antalya this season. His team is placed second from the bottom (#15) in the TBL. They ended the series of three consecutive loses. Golubovic is an international player who is currently on the senior Montenegrin National Team roster.

   #7. International point guard Omar-Sharif Cook (188-82, another player represented by Beo Basket, college: St.John's, currently plays in Euroleague) is a teammate of previously mentioned Milko Bjelica and both played together in the last Euroleague game. Cook managed to help Caja Laboral Vitoria to win against the closely-ranked Fenerbahce Ulker (2-9) crushing them 87-67. He scored only 3 points and added 5 assists. Cook's overall stats this season are: 2.8ppg, 1.3rpg and 3.3apg. He is a naturalized American. Cook is also Montenegrin national team player. Strangely he has never played in Montenegro.

   #8. Power forward Nemanja Radovic (206-91, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Serbia), who plays in the Serbian A League couldn't help Vrsac (13-12) in their last game. Despite Radovic's good performance Vrsac was edged 82-80 in Beograd by the lower-ranked (#7) Radnicki Basket. He was the second best scorer with 14 points. Radovic also added 7 rebounds and 3 assists in 23 minutes. His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. Radovic is ranked sixth on the list of the top scorers in the league and also on the list of best rebounders (second place). He has very impressive stats this year: 15.3ppg, 8.8rpg and 1.3apg in the 25 games. Radovic used to play for the Montenegrin U20 national team back in 2011.

Former U21 international power forward Igor Bijelic (207-88, currently plays in Bosnia) was the major contributor in Mladost's victory against the closely-ranked Capljina Lasta (15-6) 83-79 in the Bosnia and Herzegovina Division I on Saturday night. He scored 19 points, had 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. KK Mladost Mrkonjic Gradis placed in the Division I. Bijelic is currently seventh on the list of top scorers and also on the list of best blockers (first place). This season he has very high stats. Bijelic averages: 17.2ppg, 6.2rpg, 1.5apg and 1.3bpg. He used to play for the Montenegrin U21 national team six years ago.

Power forward Marko Todorovic (210-92, currently plays in Euroleague) contributed to a Regal FC Barcelona's victory against the sixth-ranked Caja Laboral (6-6) 83-74 in the Euroleague in Thursday night's game. Todorovic scored only 4 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 8 minutes on the court. Regal FC Barcelona (11-1) is placed first in group F. It was his team's tenth consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Euroleague Top 16. It's Todorovic's first season with the team. This year his overall stats are: 2.1ppg and 2.0rpg in the 13 games. Todorovic is U21 international player who is currently on the Montenegrin National Team roster.

   #11. International point guard Taylor Rochestie (185-85, college: Washington St., currently plays in Italy), who plays in the Italian SerieA couldn't help Angelico Biella (5-18) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his very good performance the bottom-ranked Angelico Biella was defeated 77-72 in Avellino by the higher-ranked Air Avellino (#12). Rochestie was the second best scorer with 20 points. This season he has relatively solid stats: 13.6ppg, 2.3rpg, 2.1apg and 1.2spg. Rochestie is a naturalized American. He plays currently for the Montenegrin national team. Apparently Rochestie has never played in Montenegro.

   #12. An experienced former international forward Ivan Ivanovic (205-80, currently plays in Romania), who plays in the Romanian Liga Nationala couldn't help Gaz Metan (18-9) in their last game on Thursday. Despite his good performance Gaz Metan was defeated 86-80 on the opponent's court by the lower-ranked Timisoara (#7). Ivanovic scored 12 points, had 6 rebounds and dished 3 assists. Ivanovic has reliable stats this season: 13.9ppg, 6.2rpg and 2.1apg. He used to play for the Montenegrin national team back in 2008.

   #13. Former U20 international power forward Nemanja Milosevic (204-87, another player represented by Interperformances, college: W.Kentucky, currently plays in Bulgaria) couldn't help Tundja Yambol in their game against Beroe in the Bulgarian NBL, despite his good performance last Wednesday. Milosevic had a double-double by scoring 11 points and getting 13 rebounds. He also added 2 blocks in 25 minutes. But his team was edged 70-69. Milosevic is currently eighth on the league's list of top scorers and also on the list of best rebounders (second place). He has very impressive stats this year: 16.1ppg and 9.3rpg in the 16 games. Milosevic used to play for the Montenegrin U20 national team five years ago.

   #14. Former U21 international center Milovan Savic (205-87, currently plays in Serbia) helped Konstantin win their game against the ninth-ranked OKK Beograd 76-66 in the Serbian A League last Saturday. Savic recorded 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. He averaged so far 10.8ppg, 4.8rpg and 1.2apg. Savic used to play for the Montenegrin U21 national team back in 2007.

   #15. International swingman Milos Borisov (198-85, currently plays in Adriatic League) helped his Serbian team Radnicki KG win their game against the league outsider KK Split 81-63 in the Adriatic League on Saturday night. He recorded 11 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 23 minutes. This year Borisov's total stats are: 6.8ppg and 3.9rpg in the 24 games. He is also in the roster of the Montenegrin national team.


The list of other players, who all have Montenegrin passport but never been selected to any of Montenegrin national teams:

   #1. Nikola Mirotic (207-F/C-91, currently plays in Euroleague), who plays in Spain could not help Real Madrid (9-3) in their last game on Thursday. Despite his very good performance the second-placed Real Madrid was edged 74-73 at home by the lower-ranked Panathinaikos (#4) in the group E of Euroleague. Mirotic was the second best scorer with 17 points. There are only two games left until the end of the Euroleague Top 16. So now every game will be critical. Mirotic has relatively good stats this season: 12.3ppg and 5.4rpg. He has a dual citizenship: Montenegrin and Spanish. Despite Mirotic's Montenegrin passport, he previously played for the Spanish U20 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Montenegrin team.

   #2. Nikola Dragovic (206-F-87, college: UCLA, currently plays in Italy) led Air Avellino to a victory over the league outsider Angelico Biella (5-18) 77-72 in the Italian SerieA in Sunday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Dragovic scored 25 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 30 minutes; not bad, considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. Sidigas Avellino (8-14) is placed 12th in the SerieA. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. This year Dragovic's overall stats are: 9.8ppg, 5.0rpg and 1.2spg in the 22 games he played so far. He is another player who holds two passports: Serbian and Montenegrin. Despite Dragovic's Montenegrin nationality, he previously played for the Serbian university national team and probably cannot be called to the Montenegrin team.

   #3. Novak Popovic (207-C-81, currently plays in Bosnia), who plays in the Bosnia and Herzegovina Division I was not able to help Capljina Lasta (15-6) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Capljina Lasta lost 79-83 on the road to the leading Mladost. Popovic had a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 10 rebounds in 36 minutes. His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. Popovic has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 15.3ppg, 5.5rpg and 1.6apg in the 18 games.

   #4. Radomir Marojevic (207-C-81, currently plays in Serbia) contributed to Vojvodina's victory against the eighth-ranked Borac (12-13) 85-72 in the Serbian A League on Saturday night. He recorded 13 points in only a mere 12 minutes. KK Vojvodina Novi Sad (19-6) is placed second in the A League. Marojevic's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. This year Marojevic's total stats are: 9.6ppg and 3.3rpg in the 25 games.

   #5. Boris Lalovic (209-C-81, currently plays in Bosnia) was the main contributor in a Zrinjski HT's victory against the 11th-ranked Kakanj (8-13) 79-72 in the Bosnia and Herzegovina Division I on Saturday night. He was MVP of the game. Lalovic scored 25 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. HKK Zrinjski HT Mostar (10-11) is placed sixth in the Division I. His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. Lalovic belongs to league's top scorers (ranked #4) and also on the list of best rebounders (third place). This season he has very high stats. Lalovic averages: 19.9ppg, 8.4rpg and 1.7apg.

   #6. Experienced Branko Cuic (197-G-78, currently plays in Romania) contributed to an easy victory against the 11th-ranked Pitesti crushing them 95-71 in the Romanian Liga Nationala in Thursday night's game. He scored 12 points, had 8 rebounds and dished 4 assists (went 5 for 5 at the free throw line) in 32 minutes. Cuic is currently fourth on the league's list of best passers with 5.7apg. He also averaged so far 13.4ppg and 6.5rpg in the 26 games.

   #7. Miljan Pavkovic (178-G-81, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in Czech Republic) contributed to a 2-point CEZ Nymburk's victory against the fifth-ranked BK Decin 67-65 in the Czech Republic NBL in Wednesday night's game. Pavkovic scored 6 points and added 6 passes in 23 minutes. He has averaged so far 4.8ppg, 2.2rpg and 3.8apg in the 27 games.

   #8. Filip Goranovic (205-C/F-85, currently plays in Bosnia) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Varda HE 64-45 in the Bosnia and Herzegovina Division I last Saturday. Goranovic was MVP of the game. He scored 17 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Goranovic belongs to league's best rebounders and is ranked #6. He has very reliable stats this season: 12.6ppg and 6.7rpg.

   #9. Balsa Radunovic (207-F/C-80, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in FYR Macedonia), who plays in the FYR Macedonian Prva Liga was not able to secure a victory for Lirija (0-1) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite Radunovic's very good performance Lirija (#4) was defeated 106-92 in a derby game by the higher-ranked Fersped-Rabotnicki (#3) in the Places 1-6 group. He was the second best scorer with 16 points. Radunovic also added 7 rebounds. Radunovic is currently third on the list of top scorers and also on the list of best rebounders (third place). This season he has very high stats. Radunovic averages: 16.7ppg, 7.9rpg, 2.6apg and 1.5spg.

   #10. Dusan Djordjevic (195-G-83, also represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Belgium) couldn't help Base Oostende in their game against Okapi Aalstar in the Belgian Ethias League. He scored only 4 points and added 5 assists. His team was defeated 82-77. Djordjevic is currently fourth on the list of best passers. He has averaged so far 7.7ppg, 3.0rpg, 4.3apg and 1.1spg. Djordjevic has both Serbian and Montenegrin nationalities.

Mornar Bar - Partizan 91:77 Mornar Bar entertained the home crowd with a strong victory over Partizan in the ABA League SuperCup quarterfinal. Derek Needham (180-PG-90, college: Fairfield) nailed 22 points to lead the Montenegrin side. Mornar Bar sank 26 points in the opening frame to eke out a 2-point lead. ABA League SuperCup: Buducnost better Cibona to enter semis - 14 hours ago
Buducnost - Cibona 96:90 Buducnost reached the semifinal stage of the ABA League SuperCup. They topped Cibona in Bar tonight. Nikola Ivanovic (190-PG-94, agency: BeoBasket) scored 19 points to lead the Montenegrin side. Buducnost erupted for 27 points in the first period and opened a 6-point lead. Cibona dropped 28 points in the second term to eke out a 49:47 halftime advantage. Cibona added 23 points in the third term to secure a 5-point lead at the final break. KK Ibar Rozaje (Erste Liga) landed 24-year old American forward Staphon Blair (206-118kg-93, college: Cent.Florida). He played most recently at Crelan Okapi Aalstar in Belgian Euromillions League. In 31 games he averaged just 2.2ppg and 2.0rpg last season. Blair has played also professionally in ABL (Orlando Whalers).
