Marko Mugosa
The season in Montenegro is writing its final chapters and the clubs are doing their best to reach their season goalswith more or less success. Buducnost hosted Teodo in Podgorica and got another easy win at home (86-66). Teodo played without Marko Mijovic (188-PG-87) and did not have any chance to surpise Buducnost. Marko Mugosa (195-F-93) led the home team with 19 points while on the other side Igor Kunjic (199-F-87) played one of his best games this season- he scored 16 points in 20 mins on the floor.

Despite the change in coaching staff Ulcinj was not able to break its losing streak in Niksic and Sutjeska won another home game (77-53). Marko Perovic (15 points) and Nikola Pavlicevic (192-SG-88, agency: BBEH Cokrlija) (14 points) scored in double figures for the home team. Ulcinj was led by Sekula Jovanovic (202-F-88) who scored 17 points.

Mornar was dominant at home again (90-72). The lead was big at the half time already thanks to Lazar Radosavljevic (204-F-91, agency: Beo Basket) who showed once again that he is in great shape. He scored 21 points. Lovcens big man Ljeko Nicaj (210-C-87) led the guests with 15 points.

In the Play-Out three two teams will be fighting to survive- Centar and Danilovgrad so the final round will decide who is going to be the winner and who is going to be the loser. Danilovgrad had no problems against Jedinstvo at home (66-59). Americans Jay-R Strowbridge (183-PG-88, college: Oregon) and Rickey Young (205-F/C-90, agency: BBEH Cokrlija, college: W.Virginia Tech) led their team with 16 points each and gave hope to Danilovgrad before the last round. Jedinstvo, a team that has already qualified for D1 next season, was led by Saud Omerovic (194-F-84, agency: BBEH Cokrlija) who scored 19 points.

Primorje won against Centar at home and got rid of their worries for this season (77-68). The club from Herceg Novi had a nice lead but then the guests made a huge run in the 3rd quarter. But Primorje did not want to let them take two points from Herceg Novi to Bijelo Polje so they pushed harder in the last quarter and won the game. Veselin Kovacevic (200-F-94) had a very nice game with 28 points while Jovan Bacovic (197-F-86) had a double double (15 points + 10 rebounds). Marko Ljujic (205-C-90, agency: BBEH Cokrlija) played well for Centar (20 points and 13 rebounds).

In a non important game, Ibar and Studentski Centar played just to please the fans and the game was tied but the home team took another win (81-77). Marko Perovic was the top scorer for Ibar with 19 points while Petar Kusovac (195-F-93, college: S.Centar) shined with 28 points for Studentski Centar.

Erste Basketball League Play Off's: Buducnost gets an easy win in Game 3 and leads 2-1 - 9 hours ago
Buducnost got back the lead in the finals series (2-1) after the big win in Podgorica (80-69). The game was tied in the first quarter but then in the second quarter Buducnost showed its class and got a nice lead at the halftime (+9). The rest of the game was just a formality because Mornar did not have the strength to bounce back and threaten Buducnost. Even six players scored in double figures for Buducnost. Nemanja Gordic (193-PG-88) had 18 points and 7 assists while Aleksa Ilic (205-F-...   [read more]

Erste Basketball League Play Off''s: Mornar ties the series at 1-1 after a great performance in Bar - 4 days ago
Everybody expected an interesting series between two old rivals and here it is. Buducnost and Mornar are tied at 1-1 after the last night's win of Mornar in Bar (73-62). Mornar started the game great and the result after first quarter says it all (21-8). Buducnost cut the deficit in the second quarter but Mornar still had the lead and kept it until the end without struggling to much against the powerhouse from Podgorica. Antabia Waller (191-G-88, college: Auburn) had a great shooting nigh...   [read more]
