Froya Basket advanced to the Semifinals as they won the Play-offs of the League. Froya Basket posted three victories over Miners, Ammerud Bskt and Gimle BBK for the last spot in Final Four.
Froya Basket started with the win Miners 83:69. Later they overcame Ammerud Bskt 83:71.
In the decisive game Froya Basket won over Gimle BBK 83:78. Hamad Mostafa (196-F/G-86) top-scored for the winners with 24 points and Peter Bullock (198-F/C-82, college: Alaska-Anch.) had 18. Silavs Reno brought 13, whilst Edmunds Gabrans (190-G-79) posted 11. Delano Thomas (203-F-81, college: Shawnee St.) replied with 21 points and 13 rebounds in the losing effort, while Anders Stien (195-G-90) added 20. Sedlar Igor and Bakken Mathias followed them with 8 points apiece.
The Semifinal games will start on Match 16th. Tromso will take on Froya, while Centrum will play against Baerum Basket.

Ron Billingslea takes over Sverresborg - Jun 4, 2013

Ron Billingslea is named the new head coach of Sverresborg. The US specialist is among the top coaches working in Norway. He led Froya for the last three seasons. Ron Billingslea became BLNO champion in 2012. He was named All-Norwegian BLNO Coach of the Year in 2012. Previously the specialist worked with Kongsberg, Oslo, Ammerud, Asker and Tromso in Norway as well as Etzella in Luxembourg. Ron Billingslea also guided the Norwegian U18 National Team in 2011.    [read more]
