The Regular Season in BLNO just ended.

Seventh-ranked Ammerud Bskt (5-19) gave a tough game to third ranked Baerum Basket (14-10) in Bekkestua on Sunday. Baerum Basket managed to secure only two-point victory 86-84. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Ammerud Bskt won third quarter 20-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Baerum Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Ammerud Bskt's players. American swingman Lionel Green (194-84, college: SUNO) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Stian Mjos (182-89) chipped in 15 points during the contest. Baerum Basket's coach Mathias Eckhoff used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American swingman Ronald Timus (197-84, college: Morgan St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Baerum Basket maintains third position with 14-10 record having six points less than leader Tromso. Ammerud Bskt lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 19 games lost.
Fourth ranked Froya Basket (12-12) crushed at home 6th ranked Asker Aliens (7-17) by 22 points 99-77, which is the biggest margin this round. Latvian guard Edmunds Gabrans (190-79) notched 28 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and Reno Silavs supported him with 20 points and 9 assists. Froya Basket's coach Ron Billingslea felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 27 points and 4 assists by point guard Magnus Midtvedt (182-90) did not help to save the game for Asker Aliens. Defending champion maintains fourth position with 12-12 record. Asker Aliens lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 17 games lost.

In the last game of round 26 Asker Aliens lost to Gimle BBK on the opponent's court 74-92.

Gimle BBK - Asker Aliens 92-74

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Asker Aliens' (7-17) road loss to fifth ranked Gimle BBK (10-14) 74-92. The game without a history. Gimle BBK led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Gimle BBK outrebounded Asker Aliens 52-34 including a 34-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Asker Aliens' players. Guard Anders Stien (195-90) notched 28 points and 6 assists to lead the effort and American forward Delano Thomas (203-81, college: Shawnee St.) supported him with 15 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists. Five Gimle BBK players scored in double figures. Gimle BBK's coach Brent Hackman allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 9 points and 18 rebounds by forward Sjur Berg (198-96) did not help to save the game for Asker Aliens. Swedish forward Elias Westerlund (197-88) added 23 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Gimle BBK maintains fifth position with 10-14 record. Asker Aliens lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 17 games lost.

Froya Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Asker Aliens' 44. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Latvian guard Edmunds Gabrans (190-79) notched 28 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and Latvian point guard Reno Silavs (180-91) supported him with 20 points and 9 assists. Montana head men's basketball coach Travis DeCuire has added depth to the Grizzly backcourt, signing 6-1 point guard Lars Espe (5'11''-PG-98) from the Gimle BBK club in Bergen, Norway, to a National Letter of Intent on Monday. Nordberg, Fyllingen BBK and Aalesund Sharks celebrated Division 1 titles in Norway. Nordberg won Division 1 East title with a 19-3 record. In the last game they beat OSI 57-51 as Bendik Aunan (185-PG-90) stepped up with 14 points. Halvor Poulsson (191-F-91) and Emil Aas Stoltenberg followed him with 13 each, while Joacim Bergh added 8.
