Slask got the second straight win against Start Lublin in the quarterfinal series. The game was mostly controlled by Slask Wroclaw. WIKANA Start was better in second period 25-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded WIKANA Start 39-28 including 28 on the defensive glass. WIKANA Start was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Marcin Flieger (182-84, agency: Promotex) notched 16 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and point guard Tomasz Ochonko (185-86, agency: Promotex) supported him with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists by point guard Lukasz Wilczek (189-86) did not help to save the game for WIKANA Start. Swingman Tomasz Celej (198-78, agency: Promotex) added 17 points for the guests.

P.Cukier SIDEn shot down Sokol Lancut to ensure 2-0 lead in the series. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 35-23. But Sokol Lancut won second period 23-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Sokol Lancut 37-24 including 24 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for P.Cukier SIDEn especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. The former international point guard Lukasz Zytko (181-81) notched 16 points and 7 assists to lead the effort and Marcin Kowalewski (200-86) supported him with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Even 10 points and 6 rebounds by forward Kacper Mlynarski (200-92) did not help to save the game for Sokol Lancut. Guard Michal Baran (185-80) added 11 points and 5 assists for the guests. Four Sokol Lancut players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

MKS DG - MOSiR Krosno 83-81

MKS Dabrowa Gornicza narrowly defeated MOSiR Krosno in the opener. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But MOSiR Krosno won third quarter 19-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when MKS DG won last quarter 22-22. 25 personal fouls committed by MOSiR Krosno helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Point guard Grzegorz Grochowski (180-93) scored 13 points and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Marek Piechowicz (203-88) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Five MKS DG players scored in double figures. MKS DG's coach Wojciech Wieczorek used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. point guard Kamil Laczynski (180-89) responded with 33 points (!!!), 5 assists and 4 steals and point guard Dariusz Oczkowicz (183-81) scored 18 points.

AZS Kutno knocked down Spojna to step closer to the semifinal stage. The game was mostly controlled by AZS Kutno. Spojnia was better in fourth quarter 20-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. AZS Kutno had a 29-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 59.1 percentage. Point guard Dawid Brek (185-89, agency: Promotex) notched 25 points and 6 assists to lead the effort and forward Jakub Dluski (200-87) supported him with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Even 13 points by guard Adam Parzych (190-86, college: Bryant, agency: Promotex) did not help to save the game for Spojnia. point guard Piotr Trepka (182-80) added 6 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the guests. Spojnia's coach Ireneusz Purwiniecki rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

This is still too early stage of the Regular Season in 1Liga and we should expect many changes in upcoming rounds. The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. AZS Koszalin (PLK) to sign experienced 36-year old American forward Qyntel Woods (202-102kg-81, college: NE Mississippi CC). It would be his comeback to AZS Koszalin as he has played here before. Miasto Szkla Krosno (PLK) signed 25-year old American power forward Peter Alexis (213-113kg-92, college: Thomas Jefferson). He will replace Devante Wallace who just left the team.
