Energa Czarni surprised Stelmet Zielona Gora in the quarterfinal series. The game was mostly controlled by Energa Czarni. Stelmet ZG was better in third quarter 23-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Energa Czarni dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Stelmet ZG's 28. They outrebounded Stelmet ZG 41-20 including a 30-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Roderick Trice (191-84, college: S.Carolina) stepped up and scored 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and guard Marcin Dutkiewicz (196-86) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side the former international point guard Lukasz Koszarek (187-84) responded with 21 points and 6 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American-Georgian swingman Quinton Hosley (201-84, college: Fresno St.) scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Trefl Sopot proved their favourites status beating AZS Koszalin in the first game of the series. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 81-72. Strangely AZS Koszalin outrebounded Trefl Sopot 31-19 including 22 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Croatian power forward Sime Spralja (206-83, agency: Court Side) who helped to win the game recording 20 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). The former international forward Filip Dylewicz (202-80) contributed with 16 points for the winners. American power forward Darrell Harris (208-84, college: Rhode Island) answered with 19 points and 7 rebounds and the former international forward Pawel Leonczyk (202-86, agency: Promotex) added 12 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for AZS Koszalin. Anwil stole a road win over Asseco Prokom in the opener. Asseco Prok. was ahead by 3 points after three quarters before a 24-11 charge of Anwil, which allowed them to win the game. The former international point guard Krzysztof Szubarga (182-84) fired 25 points and 8 assists for the winners. Serbian power forward Nikola Jovanovic (203-81, agency: BeoExcell) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Anwil's coach Milija Bogicevic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Austrian-Slovenian center Rasid Mahalbasic (211-90) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists and international swingman Mateusz Ponitka (196-93) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Polpharma 43-25 including a 31-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. PGE Turow looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The former international power forward Damian Kulig (206-87) nailed a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and the former international point guard Michal Chylinski (190-86, agency: Interperformances) accounted for 13 points and 5 assists. Four PGE Turow players scored in double figures. Serbian power forward Uros Mirkovic (205-82, agency: BeoExcell) came up with 18 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Michael Hicks (193-83, college: Central Mo., agency: Court Side) added 14 points respectively for Polpharma in the defeat.
