Energa Czarni surprised Stelmet Zielona Gora in the quarterfinal series. The game was mostly controlled by Energa Czarni. Stelmet ZG was better in third quarter 23-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Energa Czarni dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Stelmet ZG's 28. They outrebounded Stelmet ZG 41-20 including a 30-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Roderick Trice (191-84, college: S.Carolina) stepped up and scored 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and guard Marcin Dutkiewicz (196-86) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side the former international point guard Lukasz Koszarek (187-84) responded with 21 points and 6 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American-Georgian swingman Quinton Hosley (201-84, college: Fresno St.) scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Trefl Sopot proved their favourites status beating AZS Koszalin in the first game of the series. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 81-72. Strangely AZS Koszalin outrebounded Trefl Sopot 31-19 including 22 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Croatian power forward Sime Spralja (206-83, agency: Court Side) who helped to win the game recording 20 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). The former international forward Filip Dylewicz (202-80) contributed with 16 points for the winners. American power forward Darrell Harris (208-84, college: Rhode Island) answered with 19 points and 7 rebounds and the former international forward Pawel Leonczyk (202-86, agency: Promotex) added 12 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for AZS Koszalin. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.

Anwil stole a road win over Asseco Prokom in the opener. Asseco Prok. was ahead by 3 points after three quarters before a 24-11 charge of Anwil, which allowed them to win the game. The former international point guard Krzysztof Szubarga (182-84) fired 25 points and 8 assists for the winners. Serbian power forward Nikola Jovanovic (203-81, agency: BeoExcell) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Anwil's coach Milija Bogicevic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Austrian-Slovenian center Rasid Mahalbasic (211-90) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists and international swingman Mateusz Ponitka (196-93) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. PGE Turow dominated Polpharma to open win count in the series. The game was mostly controlled by PGE Turow. Polpharma managed to win fourth quarter 15-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Polpharma 43-25 including a 31-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. PGE Turow looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The former international power forward Damian Kulig (206-87) nailed a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and the former international point guard Michal Chylinski (190-86, agency: Interperformances) accounted for 13 points and 5 assists. Four PGE Turow players scored in double figures. Serbian power forward Uros Mirkovic (205-82, agency: BeoExcell) came up with 18 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Michael Hicks (193-83, college: Central Mo., agency: Court Side) added 14 points respectively for Polpharma in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

Rafal Kulikowski (205-C/F-85, agency: Promotex) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Sokol Lancut, receiving a Eurobasket.com 1Liga Player of the Week award for round 5. The 32-year old player had a double-double of 21 points and 16 rebounds, while his team crushed Siarka (#9, 2-3) with 19-point margin 82-63. Sokol Lancut is placed at 2nd position in Polish 1Liga.
