The most exciting game of round 6 in the TBL took place in Wloclawek. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of second-best Stelmet ZG (18-10) to fifth ranked Anwil (18-10) 85-84 in the game for the second place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Stelmet ZG. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 27-15 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was naturalized Bosnian forward Seid Hajric (203-83) who scored 20 points and 7 rebounds. The former international point guard Krzysztof Szubarga (182-84) chipped in 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was U.S. Virgin Islands-Puerto Rican point guard Walter Hodge (183-86, college: Florida) who recorded 22 points and 9 assists. Anwil moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Stelmet ZG. Anwil is looking forward to face league's leader PGE Turow in Zgorzelec in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Stelmet ZG will have a break next round.
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Sopot. First ranked PGE Turow faced 3rd ranked Trefl Sopot. Guests from Zgorzelec (19-9) defeated host Trefl Sopot (17-11) 82-74. It was a good game for Bosnian-Croatian Ivan Opacak (201-80, agency: INVICTUS Sports Group) who led his team to a victory with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Aaron Cel contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Filip Dylewicz (202-80) replied with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for Trefl Sopot. Trefl Sopot's coach Mariusz Niedbalski rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. PGE Turow maintains first position with 19-9 record. Trefl Sopot lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Asseco Prok.. PGE Turow will play against league's second-placed Anwil in Wloclawek in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Trefl Sopot will have a break next round.

The game in Slupsk supposed to be also quite interesting. 4th ranked Asseco Prok. (17-11) played at the court of sixth ranked Energa Czarni (15-13). Energa Czarni smashed Asseco Prok. 90-53 on Thursday. The game without a history. Energa Czarni led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Asseco Prok. to just 5 points in fourth quarter and to 13 points in second half. Energa Czarni dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Asseco Prok.'s 18. They outrebounded Asseco Prok. 43-31 including 29 on the defensive glass. American center Bertengeh Gadri-Nicholson (208-83, college: Denver) had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 16 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Lithuanian Valdas Dabkus (204-84) chipped in 16 points during the contest. Four Energa Czarni players scored in double figures. Energa Czarni's coach Andrej Urlep felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Austrian-Slovenian center Rasid Mahalbasic (211-90) with 9 points and 7 rebounds and international swingman Mateusz Ponitka (196-93) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. Energa Czarni maintains sixth position with 15-13 record. Defending champion Asseco Prok. keeps the fourth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Trefl Sopot. An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Sopot. First ranked PGE Turow faced 3rd ranked Trefl Sopot. Guests from Zgorzelec (19-9) defeated host Trefl Sopot (17-11) 82-74. It looked good early as Trefl Sopot took an 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then PGE Turow took control winning two of next three quarters and eventually winning the game that evening by 8 points. They made 22-of-24 charity shots (91.7 percent) during the game. PGE Turow had a 26-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for PGE Turow especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. It was a good game for Bosnian-Croatian Ivan Opacak (201-80, agency: INVICTUS Sports Group) who led his team to a victory with 15 points and 8 rebounds. AZS Koszalin (PLK) tabbed 23-year old American point guard Diante Baldwin (183-82kg-94). He just graduated from NC-Greensboro (NCAA). Baldwin has played there for the last four years. In 35 games he averaged 13.5ppg, 3.5rpg, 4.3apg and 1.8spg last season. He can count that season as a very successful as was selected to All-SoCon 2nd Team. Andrey Desiatnikov (ex Zenit) joins Szczecin - 1 day ago
King Szczecin (PLK) added to their roster 23-year old Russian international center Andrey Desiatnikov (221-100kg-94, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov). He has played for the last three seasons at Zenit in Russian VTB league. But in 8 Eurocup games he had just 1.6ppg and 1.6rpg last season. Desiatnikov helped them to make it to the quarterfinals.
