There are only two more rounds left in the Second Stage in TBL. Coincidentally all hosts won their games.

The most important game in the last round took place in Sopot between second ranked Stelmet ZG (18-11) and fourth ranked Trefl Sopot (18-11) on Wednesday night. Stelmet ZG was defeated by Trefl Sopot in a tough game on the road 78-82. The hosts trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 25-19 charge, which allowed them to win the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Stelmet ZG helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international forward Filip Dylewicz (202-80) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 6 rebounds. American point guard Frank Turner (178-88, college: Canisius, agency: Court Side) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Trefl Sopot's coach Mariusz Niedbalski used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The former international point guard Lukasz Koszarek (187-84) replied with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 assists for Stelmet ZG. Trefl Sopot moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Stelmet ZG. Trefl Sopot is looking forward to face Anwil (#4) in Wloclawek in the next round. Stelmet ZG will play on the road against Asseco Prok. in Gdynia and is hoping to win this game.

American guard Tony Weeden (186-83, college: Chicago St., agency: Three Eye Sports) responded with 12 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Energa Czarni have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 16-13 record. Anwil at the other side dropped to the fourth place with 12 games lost. Energa Czarni will play against league's leader PGE Turow in Zgorzelec in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Anwil will play at home against the league's second-placed Trefl Sopot and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

PGE Turow will meet Energa Czarni (#6) in the next round where they are favorite. Asseco Prok. will play against Stelmet ZG in Zielona Gora and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The most impressive performance of 8th round was 22 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists by Sean Mosley of Kotwica.

Trefl Sopot - Stelmet ZG 82-78

TBL top team - PGE Turow (21-9) had no problems winning another game on Tuesday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Asseco Prok. (17-12) in Zgorzelec 88-61. The game was mostly controlled by PGE Turow. Asseco Prok. managed to win fourth quarter 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. PGE Turow dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Asseco Prok.'s 34. The winners were led by the former international point guard Michal Chylinski (190-86, agency: Interperformances) who scored that evening 12 points and 4 assists and the former international power forward Damian Kulig (206-87) supported him with 13 points. Miasto Szkla Krosno (PLK) added to their roster 22-year old Croatian guard Jakov Mustapic (193-94). He moved there from Vrij.Osijek in Croatian A1 league where he played this season. In 27 games he recorded very impressive stats: 16.8ppg, 5.1rpg, 4.0apg and 1.8spg. The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he played in the final of Croatian U18 Championships for two years in a row (2011 and 2012).
