Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Portuguese players who are currently playing abroad.

Carla Nascimento
Carla Nascimento
#1. This week's number one is an international guard Carla Nascimento (171-86, currently plays in Spain). She was the major contributor in Al-Qazeres' victory against the fourth-ranked Aros Leon (9-7) 63-60 in the Spanish LF2 (12th division) in Saturday night's game. Nascimento scored 15 points, grabbed 5 boards, passed 4 assists and added 4 steals in 40 minutes on the court. CB Al-Qazeres (13-3) is placed second in Group A. It was her team's ninth consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Nascimento is currently second on the league's list of best passers with 4.0apg. She also averaged so far 10.4ppg, 5.4rpg, 1.8spg, 2FGP: 40.5% and FT: 83.7% in the 16 games she played so far. Nascimento is currently a member of the Portuguese senior national team.

Carla Freitas
Carla Freitas
#2. Second place goes to an experienced international guard Carla Freitas (170-80, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish LF2 (12th division). She could not help Orion-GDKO (11-7) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Freitas' very good performance the fourth-placed Orion-GDKO was edged 81-79 on the road by the lower-ranked ASEFA Estudiantes (#7) in the Group B. She was the top scorer with 17 points. Freitas also added 4 rebounds. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Freitas has relatively good stats this season: 11.8ppg, 3.2rpg, 1.5apg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 44.4%, 3FGP: 38.5% and FT: 38.9%. She is in the roster of the Portuguese senior national team.

Debora Escorcio
Debora Escorcio
#3. The Portuguese player who performed third best last week abroad was an international power forward Debora Escorcio (186-84, currently plays in Spain). Escorcio led ADBA to an easy victory against the leader Cortegada (13-3) 66-51 in the Spanish LF2 (12th division) on Saturday night. She scored 12 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 30 minutes. ASAC Comunicaciones Adba Aviles (6-10) is placed eighth in Group A. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. Escorcio has individually a very good year with high stats. She averages: 17.0ppg, 10.0rpg, 3.5apg, 2.0spg in the two games. Ex-CAB Madeira player is also a member of the Portuguese senior national team.

Sonia Borges dos Reis
Sonia Borges dos Reis
#4. Center Sonia Borges dos Reis (189-84, currently plays in Spain) was not able to help Hondarribia-Irun (5-13) in their game against Socinsa Bembibre (4-13) in the Spanish LFB. Borges dos Reis scored 7 points. Hondarribia-Irun was defeated 66-56 in Bembibre by the league outsider Socinsa (#11). It was Hondarribia-Irun's sixth consecutive loss in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be extremely important. It's Borges dos Reis' first season with the team. Her overall stats this year are: 5.3ppg and 2.8rpg. Borges dos Reis has a dual citizenship: Portuguese and Spanish. She used to play for the Portuguese national team back in 2010.

One more player who has never been selected to any of national teams, but has Portuguese passport:

#1. Silvia Fortunato, who plays in the German 2.Bundesliga (12th division) could not help Dolphins Bielefeld (4-15) to beat ASC Theresianum Mainz (12-7). Fortunato scored 5 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 18 minutes. Dolphins Bielefeld (#11) was crushed 85-64 on the road by the much higher-ranked (#3) ASC Theresianum Mainz in the North group. It was Dolphins Bielefeld's sixth consecutive loss in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. This year Fortunato's overall stats are: 3.6ppg, 3.7rpg and 1.2spg in the 12 games she played so far.
