Illibaum grabbed the lead versus Guifoes. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Illiabum outrebounded Guifoes 42-27 including 17 on the offensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Illiabum made 7 blocks. International Miguel Queiroz (202-91) fired a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. Swingman Tiago Raimundo (194-90) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Four Illiabum players scored in double figures. The former international swingman Rui Mota (190-78) produced 25 points and forward Jose Almeida (199-86) added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Guifoes' coach Paulo Fidalgo rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.

Oliveirense shot down Angra to take 1-0 lead in the series. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Angrabasket won third quarter 20-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The former international center Nuno Cortez (205-82) fired 21 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. The former international guard Joao Reveles (187-80) chipped in 19 points and 4 assists. Angolan forward Joao Gaspar (196-89) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and guard Hugo Pola (180-92) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Maia Basket ensured the winning start to their playoff campaign. They overcame Terceira at home court. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 31-19 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Maia Basket dominated on the defensive end, holding Terceira to just 6 points in third and fourth quarters. They outrebounded Terceira 44-26 including a 19-3 advantage in offensive rebounds.
