Oliveirense - Electrico FC 69-66

Oliveirense outgunned Electrico to surge ahead in the series. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Electrico FC won third quarter 17-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Oliveirense forced 19 Electrico FC turnovers. 25 personal fouls committed by Electrico FC helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international guard Joao Reveles (187-80) fired 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Guard Joao Abreu (179-83) chipped in 17 points and 4 steals. Guard Joao Lanzinha (188-89) produced 26 points and 7 rebounds and forward Aylton Medeiros (194-88) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side.

Maia Basket - Illiabum 74-68

Maia Basket prevailed against Illibaum to take the lead. Illiabum was ahead by 7 points at the halftime before a 46-33 second half run of Maia Basket. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Nuno Marcal (205-75) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds. Guard Pedro Tavares (182-83) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Five Maia Basket players scored in double figures. Swingman Tiago Raimundo (194-90) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and the former international guard Joao Figueiredo (183-79) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Illiabum.

Electrico FC lands Antonio DePina - 16 hours ago
Electrico FC (LPB) landed 22-year old American (has also Cape Verdean passport) guard Antonio DePina (193-95kg-95). He just graduated from Lincoln University of Pennsylvania (NCAA2). In 13 games he averaged 3.3ppg and 1.2rpg last season. As mentioned above DePina is just out of the college and it will be his first season in pro basketball. Joao Grosso joins Ovarense - 1 day ago
Ovarense Dolce Vita (LPB) added to their roster 23-year old forward Joao Grosso (196-94). He played last season at FC Porto (LPB), but left the team in May.'17. In 31 games he had 3.1ppg and 1.4rpg. Grosso also played 3 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he recorded 3.0ppg, 1.7rpg and 1.0apg. The previous (15-16) season he played at Barcelos Hotel Terco. Nuno Morais joins Terceira - 3 days ago
Terceira Basket SUSIARTE (Proliga) agreed terms with 27-year old point guard Nuno Morais (183-90). He has played for the last nine seasons at Ovarense Dolce Vita in the LPB, but left the team in Mar.'17. In 17 games he had 9.2ppg, 1.8rpg and 1.4apg last season. Proliga will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time. Morais' team made it to the Portuguese Cup final in 2016.
