Illiabum - Guifoes 74-65

Illibaum clinched the second straight win over Guifoes. Guifoes trailed by 14 points after 3 quarters before a 14-9 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 65-74 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was international Miguel Queiroz (202-91) who scored 15 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Swingman Tiago Raimundo (194-90) chipped in 9 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Ricardo Alpuim (189-88) produced 13 points and 8 rebounds and forward Fernando Ramos (195-84) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Guifoes' coach Paulo Fidalgo rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.

Oliveirense - Angra 84-45

Oliveirense cruised past Angra to take 2-0 lead in the series. The game without a history. Oliveirense led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Oliveirense forced 21 Angrabasket turnovers and outrebounded them 42-23 including 18 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Angrabasket's players. The best player for the winners was the former international center Nuno Cortez (205-82) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. Center Andre Pereira (200-90) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. Oliveirense's coach Sergio Salvador felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cape Verdean swingman Flavio Gomes (194-89) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and guard Hugo Pola (180-92) added 10 points respectively for the guests.

Maia Basket had little problems outscoring Tereira at home court for 2-0 series lead. Maia Basket forced 21 Terceira turnovers. Maia Basket shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. Maia Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Terceira's players. The best player for the winners was guard Pedro Tavares (182-83) who scored 23 points, 5 assists and 5 steals. The former international forward Nuno Marcal (205-75) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Maia Basket players scored in double figures. Coach Rui Silva's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American center Chano Rashiduddin (208-88, college: Clark Atlanta) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and forward Frederico Tavares (194-88) added 21 points respectively for the guests.
