There will be only one (last) round of the Regular Season in Division A. There was no lack of interesting games this round. The round ended with defeat of the leader, derby games, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Oradea (23-6) at the home court on Thursday night. Hosts were defeated by seventh ranked U-Mobitelco (19-10) 84-75. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Oradea. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 21-12. But Oradea won third quarter 29-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. U-Mobitelco made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Bulgarian Hristo Nikolov (200-85) stepped up and scored 24 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and American forward Sean Barnette (198-86, college: Wingate) chipped in 13 points and 10 rebounds. American point guard William Franklin (183-85, college: Bradley) responded with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. U-Mobitelco moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Timisoara and Gaz Metan. Oradea at the other side still keeps top position with six games lost. U-Mobitelco is looking forward to face Pitesti (#11) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Oradea will play against Craiova (#4) and is hoping to win this game.
The game in Medias supposed to be also worth to mention about. 4th placed Craiova (20-9) played at the court of sixth ranked Gaz Metan (19-10). Gaz Metan smashed Craiova 101-66. American forward Deven Mitchell (197-84, agency: Interperformances) nailed 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side and Aleksandar Mladenovic accounted for 14 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Serbian guard Rade Dzambic (188-80, college: NYIT, agency: TSS Management) came up with 16 points for Craiova in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Gaz Metan moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Timisoara and U.Mobitel.CN. Craiova at the other side keeps the fourth position with nine games lost. Gaz Metan will play against Timba Timosoara (#13) in Timisoara in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Craiova will play at home against the league's leader Oradea (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
A very close game took place in Pitesti between Rovinari and Pitesti. Eleventh ranked Rovinari (14-15) got a very close victory on the road over 10th ranked Pitesti (13-16). Rovinari managed to escape with a 3-point win 78-75 on Thursday evening. The best player for the winners was Louis Darby who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. Donte Gennie produced 19 points and 4 assists for the hosts. Rovinari moved-up to ninth place, which they share with CSU Sibiu. Loser Pitesti dropped to the eleventh position with 16 games lost. Rovinari will meet at home bottom-ranked CS Dinamo Bucuresti (#16) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pitesti will play against U-Mobitelco (#7) in Cluj and hope to secure a win.
An interesting game took place in Timisoara where higher ranked Timisoara (19-10) was upset on its own court by twelfth ranked Giurgiu (11-18) 96-86. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Timisoara. Perry Petty orchestrated the victory by scoring 40 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals. Giurgiu maintains twelfth place with 11-18 record. Timisoara at the other side keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. Giurgiu's next round opponent will be higher ranked Ploiesti (#3) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Timisoara will play against Farul Const. in Constanca.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Bucuresti: CSM Bucuresti (#8) and CS Dinamo Bucuresti (#16). CS Dinamo Bucuresti was defeated at home 81-92. Goran Martinic stepped up and scored 23 points and 5 assists for the winners. CSM Bucuresti's coach Hristu Sapera used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. CSM Bucuresti maintains eighth place with 17-12 record. CS Dinamo Bucuresti lost eighth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 28 lost games. CSM Bucuresti will face CSU Sibiu (#10) at home in the next round. CS Dinamo Bucuresti will play against Rovinari (#9).

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 29: Targu Mures won against CSU Sibiu on the opponent's court 88-74. Miercurea Ciuc unfortunately lost to Farul Const. in a home game 56-65. Timba Timis. was rolled over Ploiesti on the road 85-107.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 36 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 5 assists by Brian Fisher of Dinamo B..


Dinamo B. - CSM Bucuresti 81-92

Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Bucuresti: CSM Bucuresti (#8) and CS Dinamo Bucuresti (#16). CS Dinamo Bucuresti was defeated at home 81-92. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. CSM Bucuresti dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to CS Dinamo Bucuresti's 36. They outrebounded CS Dinamo Bucuresti 45-25 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Montenegrin point guard Goran Martinic (183-87, agency: BeoExcell) stepped up and scored 23 points and 5 assists for the winners and Canadian-Jamaican forward Jevohn Shepherd (196-86, college: Michigan) chipped in 24 points. A very close game took place in Pitesti between Rovinari and Pitesti. Eleventh ranked Rovinari (14-15) got a very close victory on the road over 10th ranked Pitesti (13-16). Pitesti was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 19-14 charge of Rovinari, which allowed them to win the game. Very expected game when 9th ranked CSU Sibiu (14-15) was defeated at home by second ranked Targu Mures (22-7) 88-74 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Targu Mures. CSU Sibiu was better in third quarter 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Targu Mures dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to CSU Sibiu's 32. They outrebounded CSU Sibiu 35-22 including 20 on the defensive glass. Senegalese power forward Ousmane Barro (207-84, college: Marquette) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and Serbian guard Andrija Ciric (199-80, agency: BeoExcell) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. Five Targu Mures players scored in double figures. Ploiesti led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Ploiesti forced 22 Timba Timosoara turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Timba Timosoara's players. Serbian guard Aleksandar Vlahovic (190-90) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 assists for the winners and Ghanian guard Alhaji Mohammed (192-81, college: Louisville, agency: Court Side) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. An interesting game took place in Timisoara where higher ranked Timisoara (19-10) was upset on its own court by twelfth ranked Giurgiu (11-18) 96-86. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Timisoara. 27 personal fouls committed by Timisoara helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Perry Petty (185-88, college: UTPA) orchestrated the victory by scoring 40 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals. His fellow American import guard Brian Burrell (192-84, college: UTPA) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Petty is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The former international forward Bogdan Popescu (200-78, college: Alaska-Fairb.) answered with 16 points and 8 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and American power forward Delvon Johnson (206-89, college: Arkansas, agency: Priority Sports) added 12 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Timisoara. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Giurgiu maintains twelfth place with 11-18 record. Timisoara at the other side keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. Giurgiu's next round opponent will be higher ranked Ploiesti (#3) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Timisoara will play against Farul Const. in Constanca.

Newly promoted BC Timba Timisoara (Liga Nationala) added to their roster 30-year old Serbian point guard Branko Jereminov (186-87). He played last season at Al Ahli in Qatari D1 league.
