There will be only one (last) round of the Second Stage in Liga I.

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Bucuresti. First ranked Steaua faced second-best Vabova. Host Steaua (13-2) smashed guests from Sfantu Gheorghe (10-5) 102-49. Steaua have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place in I with 13-2 record. Newly promoted Vabova dropped to the third position with five games lost. They share it with CSU Galati. Steaua are looking forward to face league's second-placed CSU Galati on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Vabova will play against Ploiesti II in Pitesti and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Concordia maintains first place in I with 14-1 record. Politehnica at the other side keeps the second position with six games lost. Concordia will play against Stiinta B. (#3) in Bucaresti in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Politehnica will play at home against Phoenix Corona Brasov and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The victory was the third consecutive win for CSU Galati. They moved-up to second place in I, which they share with Vabova. Brasov lost their eighth game in a row. They keep the fifth position with 12 games lost. CSU Galati will meet at home league's leader Steaua in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Brasov will have a break next round.
