Mihai
Silvasan
Former international Mihai Silvasan (200-SF-85, agency: Court Side) had a very impressive game in the last round for U.Mobitel.CN and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 30.
The 27-year old had the game-high 31 points adding six rebounds and two assists for U.Mobitel.CN in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Pitesti (#11, 13-17) with 30-point margin 96-66. U.Mobitel.CN maintains the 7th position in Romanian Division A. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. U.Mobitel.CN will need more victories to improve their 20-10 record. In the team's last game Silvasan had a remarkable 83.3% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at U.Mobitel.CN, through which he has constantly improved. Mihai Silvasan averages this season 12.4ppg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 28-year old American center Christopher Lee (206-C-84, agency: Duran International) of CSU Sibiu. Lee impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 23 points and 16 rebounds. Bad luck as CSU Sibiu lost that game 75-85 to slightly higher-ranked CSM Bucuresti (#8, 18-12). CSU Sibiu managed to keep the same 10th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 14-16 record. Lee is a newcomer at CSU Sibiu and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Jaytornah Wisseh (185-G-88) of Rovinari (#9). Wisseh showcased his all-around game by recording 18 points, eleven rebounds (!!!) and eleven assists (!!!) in the last round. He was a key player of Rovinari, leading his team to a 98-71 easy win against the lower-ranked Dinamo B. (#16, 1-29). Rovinari needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 15 victories and 15 lost games. Wisseh has a great season in Romania. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.4ppg (5th best) and assists with 5.9apg (3rd best). He also has FGP: 51.2% and 3PT: 43.3%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Branko Cuic (197-G-78) of Targu Mures - 21 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists
5. Travis Bureau (200-G-88) of Craiova - 31 points and 12 rebounds
6. Brian Burrell (192-G-84) of Giurgiu - 22 points, 12 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Perry Petty (185-G-88) of Giurgiu - 23 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists
8. Matija Ceskovic (192-G-81) of Targu Mures - 26 points and 10 assists
9. Spencer Dixon (182-G) of Dinamo B. - 34 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists
10. Virgil Carutasu (203-C-76) of CSM Bucuresti - 8 points, 13 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
