We bring you last week's top performances from Russians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

Andrei Kirilenko
Andrei Kirilenko
#1. This week's number one is an international forward Andrei Kirilenko (209-81, currently plays in NBA). He led Minnesota Timberwolves to a victory over the Phoenix Suns (23-50) crushing them 117-86 in the NBA in Friday night's game. Kirilenko was MVP of the game. He scored 20 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 25 minutes on the court. The Minnesota Timberwolves have 26-45 record this season. It's Kirilenko's first year with the team. Kirilenko has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 12.6ppg, 5.6rpg, 2.8apg, 1.5spg, 2FGP: 56.1%(210-374), 3FGP: 29.4% and FT: 76.2% in the 53 games he played so far. Kirilenko is a naturalized American. He is currently a member of the Russian senior national team. Kirilenko used to play for CSKA Moscow in Russian league.

Ivan Nelyubov
Ivan Nelyubov
#2. Second place goes to former University international center Ivan Nelyubov (207-88, currently plays in Estonia). He contributed to an easy victory against the league leader BC Rakvere (20-10) crushing them 94-64 in the Estonian KML on Saturday night. Nelyubov had a double-double by scoring 10 points and getting 11 rebounds in 16 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Tartu Ulikool/Rock (19-1) is placed second in the KML. His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. This year Nelyubov's overall stats are: 7.8ppg, 4.6rpg, 2FGP: 56.2%(41-73) and FT: 75.0% in the 14 games. He played for the Russian university national team in 2011.

Alexey Shved
Alexey Shved
#3. The Russian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international guard Alexey Shved (198-88, agency: Alti Sport, currently plays in NBA) is a teammate of previously mentioned Andrei Kirilenko. But that was another game of his team in NBA which we would like to mention. Shved managed to help Minnesota Timberwolves to win against the Detroit Pistons (24-49) crushing them 105-82. He recorded 5 points and added 7 passes. The Minnesota Timberwolves have 26-45 record this season. It's Shved's first year with the team. Shved has relatively good stats this year: 9.2ppg, 2.4rpg, 3.8apg, 2FGP: 43.2%, 3FGP: 29.1% and FT: 72.6%. He is also a member of the Russian senior national team.

Timofey Mozgov
Timofey Mozgov
#4. Center Timofey Mozgov (215-86, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov, currently plays in NBA), who plays in the NBA could not help the Denver Nuggets (50-24) to beat the New Orleans Hornets (25-48). Mozgov cannot count it as his best performance. He scored only 2 points in 2 minutes on the court. The Denver Nuggets were crushed 110-86 on the road by the Hornets. This year Mozgov's total stats are: 2.8ppg and 2.7rpg in the 35 games. He is also Russian national team player.

Maxim Zakharov
Maxim Zakharov
#5. Former U20 international forward Maxim Zakharov (198-89, college: E.Utah JC, currently plays in Belgium), who plays in the Belgian Ethias League was not able to help VOO Verviers-Pepinster (4-18) in their last game. Despite Zakharov's good performance the eighth-placed VOO Verviers-Pepinster was badly defeated 87-67 in Oostende by the leading Base in the Folded group. He was the second best scorer with 14 points. Zakharov also added 4 rebounds in 28 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. It was VOO Verviers-Pepinster's fourth consecutive loss in a row. It's Zakharov's first year with the team. Zakharov has averaged so far 4.6ppg and 2.3rpg in the 17 games. He used to play for the Russian U20 national team four years ago.

Stanislav Dikiy
Stanislav Dikiy
#6. Forward Stanislav Dikiy (201-88, currently plays in Ukraine) contributed to an easy victory against the seventh-ranked Cherkasy (21-18) 91-74 in the Ukrainian Superleague on Monday night. Dikiy scored only 2 points. Ferro-ZNTU Zaporozhye (25-14) is placed second in the Superleague. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. The Regular Season already ended. Dikiy has averaged so far 2.4ppg and 1.7rpg. He is a former U18 international player as he played for the Russian team seven years ago.

Teymuraz Babunashvili
Teymuraz Babunashvili
#7. Former U18 international guard Teymuraz Babunashvili (185-90, currently plays in Georgia) was not able to secure a victory for Kutaisi (1-0) in their game against MIA (16-2) in the Georgian Superleague. Babunashvili scored only 4 points in 24 minutes. his team lost 64-72 in Tbilisi to the leading MIA. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Babunashvili has averaged so far 5.5ppg, 2.3rpg and 2.3apg in the 16 games. He used to play for the Russian U18 national team five years ago.

The list of other players, who all have Russian passport but never been selected to any of Russian national teams:

#1. Experienced Raul Lopez (183-PG-80, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish ACB could not help Gescrap BB (16-10) to beat Assignia Manresa (5-21). He scored 8 points and added 3 passes. Gescrap BB was edged 82-79 on the road by the league outsider Assignia Manresa (#18). Lopez's overall stats this season are: 6.5ppg, 1.5rpg, 2.8apg and 1.1spg.

#2. Lazaros Papadopoulos (210-C-80, currently plays in Greece) was not able to help PAOK (14-8) in their game against AGOR (14-7) in the Greek A1. Papadopoulos scored 6 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 35 minutes. PAOK was edged 66-64 in Rethymno by the lower-ranked (#5) AGOR. Papadopoulos is currently second on the league's list of best rebounders with 7.7rpg. This year he also averages: 11.8ppg and 2.9apg in the 21 games he played so far. Papadopoulos has a dual citizenship: Russian and Greek.

#3. Aliaksandr Pustahvar (202-SF-85, currently plays in VTB United League) contributed to Tsmoki-Minsk's victory against the closely-ranked CEZ Nymburk (5-13) 71-63 in the VTB United League on Sunday night. He scored 8 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Tsmoki-Minsk (3-15) is placed ninth in group B. The Regular Season already ended in the VTB United League. It's Pustahvar's first season with the team. Pustahvar's total stats this year are: 7.2ppg and 4.0rpg. He is another player who holds two passports: Russian and Belarusian.

#4. Anton Kazarnovski (205-F/C-85, currently plays in Israel) was the major contributor in a Hapoel Kazrin's victory against one of league's weakest teams Maccabi K/G (5-18) 81-62 in the Israeli National League (second division) last Thursday. Kazarnovski scored 22 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Kazrin/Galil Elion (11-12) is placed eighth in the National League. It was his team's first victory after three consecutive loses. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This season Kazarnovski has relatively solid stats: 14.9ppg, 8.7rpg and 2.8apg. He has both Russian and Israeli nationalities. Despite Kazarnovski's Russian passport, he previously played for the Israeli university national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Russian team.
